Story & Lesson Highlights with Billboard Chaz of Metro Atlanta

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Billboard Chaz. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Billboard, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Without question, I’d hire me in a heartbeat. And not just because of the talent. I’d hire me because I solve problems most people don’t even realize they have. I bring clarity where there’s chaos, vision where there’s noise, and execution that doesn’t miss.

I’ve built Spit Laugh Media on one simple but rare principle: what we create must move people. Not just visually, but emotionally, psychologically, and strategically. I understand how to connect the dots between culture, commerce, and creativity in a way that gets results. I’m not a vendor, I’m a partner who thinks like a CEO, moves like a director, and communicates like a brand whisperer.

If you’re building something that matters, something soulful, premium, disruptive, or legacy-driven, you don’t need more pretty slides or trendy content. You need someone who can translate vision into impact. That’s what I do.
So yeah, I’d hire me. Because when the stakes are high and the story matters, there’s nobody better to have in the room than Billboard Chaz.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Chaz Foreman some know me as Billboard Chaz, and I’m the founder and CEO of Spit Laugh Media, a Creative Direction and Visual Marketing firm.. What we do isn’t just design or strategy, we build movements through visuals, messaging, and moments that make people feel something real.

Spit Laugh Media was born out of a belief that soul and excellence should never be separated. We specialize in premium personal brands, luxury creative assets, and high-ticket brand activations that help ambitious visionaries and legacy-builders bring their big ideas to life visually, emotionally, and strategically. If you’re trying to stand out in a saturated market, we make sure you don’t just look different, you feel different.

My journey started on the content and entertainment side, where I saw firsthand how emotion, energy, and storytelling can drive culture. Now, I’m blending that same cinematic edge into branding—bridging the gap between artistry and commerce in a way most agencies can’t.

Right now, I’m working on scaling Spit Laugh Media toward an eventual 9-figure acquisition. I’m building an IP Vault of high-value brand assets, developing a short-form scripted storytelling content platform called SHRTCUT, and helping elite entrepreneurs reposition themselves through our signature Power Rebrand experience.
But beyond the business moves, I’m a father, a husband, a culture keeper, and someone who truly believes that when we reclaim our narratives, we reclaim our power. And that’s what I’m here to help people do with style, and strategy.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
Without a doubt, my mother. She was my first blueprint for work ethic, resilience, and grace under pressure. As a single mom raising me and my brothers, she didn’t just work, she sacrificed. I watched her juggle multiple jobs, long hours, and real-life pressure… yet somehow, she made it look effortless.

What stood out most wasn’t just how hard she worked, but how she never let the weight of it touch us. We were always clean, fed, loved, and, even in tough seasons, she found a way to spoil us. Looking back now, I realize she was performing miracles on a daily basis.

That kind of consistency, sacrifice, and emotional shielding taught me something deeper than just “working hard.” It taught me what it means to show up fully, even when life’s heavy. And that’s a principle I bring into every project, partnership, and creative challenge today. I don’t crack under pressure, I create under it. That resilience is in my DNA.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell him this… “You’re not crazy..you’re early.”

All those big ideas, the way you see things differently, the way you feel energy in rooms and know how to shift it, that’s not a flaw, that’s a gift. Don’t shrink it to fit in. Don’t wait for permission. Don’t water it down just to be understood.

You were built to lead, to create, to challenge, and to transform things, especially the things people said couldn’t be done. So be patient with yourself, but stay dangerous. Stay visionary. The world will catch up.

And most importantly, trust that everything you’re going through is shaping the exact man you need to become. Keep going.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
I think a lot of smart people are overestimating what AI can replace, and underestimating what only the human spirit can bring. Especially in the creative world, there’s this idea floating around that AI can replace creatives. But the truth is, AI is a tool, not a visionary. It can generate content, sure but it can’t generate soul.

The difference is always in the intention. When a human with lived experience, cultural awareness, and real emotion feeds direction into AI, the result carries a completely different weight. You can feel when something’s been crafted versus when it’s just been produced.

Creativity isn’t just output, it’s energy, context, nuance, and perspective. That’s something AI can’t replicate because it’s never been broke, in love, betrayed, raised by a single mom, or moved by a Marvin Gaye record. So yeah, smart people betting on AI over humanity? They’re betting on the wrong horse. The future belongs to those who can fuse human soul with smart tools and that’s where I live.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
They’d miss having more than just a designer, they’d miss having a true creative ally. Someone who doesn’t just make things look good, but makes their entire brand make sense. I don’t just show up with aesthetics, I show up with intention, clarity, and the ability to take their vision off their shoulders and bring it to life in ways they didn’t even know were possible.

What I consistently hear from clients is that I bring peace of mind. That they feel seen, supported, and elevated when I’m in the mix. If I stepped away, they’d miss that rare combination of high-level execution, genuine care, and the ability to translate their chaos into clean, compelling strategy.

In short, they’d miss having someone who thinks like a founder, creates like an artist, and delivers like a machine.
