Story & Lesson Highlights with Brittany Sjogren

Brittany Sjogren shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Brittany , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I have recently found a love for Mahjong! It has become an outlet for me to completely unplug, spend quality time with my friends and family, and challenge my mind in a different way than I typically would. In a season of life that can feel so busy, carving out space for something that’s purely joyful has been such a gift.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi friends! I’m Brittany Sjogren, the founder and creator behind Loverly Grey. Loverly Grey started as a way to share my love for affordable, approachable fashion, and over the years it has grown into a lifestyle brand and community where women can find inspiration not just for their wardrobes, but for all seasons of life. My goal has always been to make style feel fun, attainable, and confidence-boosting, whether you’re getting dressed for work, a night out, or chasing after little ones at home.

What sets Loverly Grey apart is the heart behind it. I’ve always believed fashion is about more than just the clothes. It’s about how getting dressed can make you feel and the confidence it brings. Through Loverly Grey, I hope to empower women to embrace their personal style while also sharing glimpses of my own journey as a wife, mom, and business owner. It’s that mix of fashion, real life, and genuine connection that makes this space so special.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mom, without a doubt. She has always been the person who encouraged me to dream big, even when I couldn’t quite picture the path myself. She saw my strengths before I did and reminded me that I was capable, even in moments of doubt. She also led by example, living her life as a Christian woman and exemplifying that in her words, her actions, and the way she cared for others. Looking back, I can see how much of Loverly Grey’s foundation was built on both the belief she instilled in me early on and the example she set every day.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell her, “You don’t have to have it all figured out to move forward.” I spent a lot of time worrying about getting everything just right, but so much of the beauty in my journey has come from learning along the way. Trust yourself, take the leap, and know that things will come together in their own time. That’s a huge reason why I started the Life With Loverly mentorship program. I want to create a space where I can share some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way and help others in this industry navigate their own paths with confidence.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
For me, it always comes back to my core values, both in business and in life. In fashion, trends will come and go, but if something doesn’t align with the heart of Loverly Grey, it’s not worth chasing. I ask myself, “Does this bring value to my community? Does it reflect who I am and what I want my brand to stand for?” The same is true personally. If a decision doesn’t line up with the values Chris and I want to build our family on, then it’s not the right move for us. That perspective keeps me grounded, even in an industry that’s always changing.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I led with kindness and generosity, and that I used my platform to encourage and uplift others. Beyond fashion or business success, I want to be remembered as someone who cared deeply about people – whether that was my family, my team, or the community of women who have been part of Loverly Grey. If my story is one of making others feel seen, valued, and inspired, that would mean everything to me.
