Story & Lesson Highlights with Jacynta Harb of Roswell

We recently had the chance to connect with Jacynta Harb and have shared our conversation below.

Jacynta , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day set the tone for everything that follows. Before my feet even hit the floor, I say three things I’m thankful for — it’s my way of grounding myself in gratitude and starting with joy.

Then, yes, there’s always coffee — my non-negotiable! I settle into my favorite chair for quiet time, where I lean into a devotion my husband and I are doing together. I pray, reflect, and let that time center me before the day begins.

Next, I turn to my social media pages, not to scroll, but to serve. I lift up my clients with motivation, encouragement, and inspiration — because helping them start strong helps me start strong too. It’s a ripple effect of energy.

And then comes my favorite part — I get to teach a 60-minute strength training class. Watching my clients push their limits, get stronger, and build confidence is the highlight of my day. Strength training isn’t just about muscles; it’s about life. I believe it’s the magic behind aging well, because muscle truly is the key to longevity.

Those 90 minutes fuel my body, my spirit, and my purpose. They remind me every single day why I do what I do.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Jacynta Harb, founder of Sparkle Wellness, where our mission is to help people “push their limits” and discover the joy of living strong, healthy, and energized lives. For the last 11 years, I’ve been a fitness and wellness professional, I stepped out in faith to start my own company so I could serve clients in a way that feels personal, uplifting, and sustainable.

What makes Sparkle Wellness unique is that we don’t just focus on one piece of the puzzle — we blend fitness, nutrition, mindset, and community. From our strength training classes to our group challenges, coaching, and helping our local community by doing many races, everything we do is designed to empower people to make lasting changes while having fun along the way.

Our brand is about more than just workouts; it’s about building muscle for longevity, nourishing your body with real food, and creating a support system where people truly cheer each other on. Right now, we’re especially excited about our new theme, “Push Your Limits,” which encourages our community to move beyond excuses and embrace the power they already have within them.

I believe wellness is not about perfection, but about progress and possibility. That’s the story behind Sparkle Wellness, and why I’m so passionate about helping others elevate their wellness journey.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
The person who taught me the most about work was my dad. I grew up in a family of ten, and providing for us was no small task. My father was a teacher, but to support such a large household he also worked as a butcher, often coming home at 8 p.m. after a long day. And yet, instead of resting, he would jump right in to help my mom with the kids and household responsibilities — always with patience and a cheerful spirit.

When he retired from teaching, he didn’t slow down. He built a second career in real estate, and continued helping as a part-time butcher at my brothers’ grocery stores. As a grandfather, we lovingly called him “Poppy,” and he poured his energy into babysitting and being present for his grandchildren.

His work ethic, commitment, and servant heart have left a deep imprint on me. I’m proud to carry that legacy into my own business and to pass those same values on to my three children. His example of hard work, humility, and joy in serving others lives on in our family every single day.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be: You are stronger and more capable than you realize—trust yourself, and don’t be afraid to show up in the world. The very things that make you different will one day be your superpowers. Stop trying to fit into everyone else’s mold—your path may look different, but that’s because it’s meant for you alone. Keep shining, keep learning, and know that everything you’re going through is shaping you into the woman you’re destined to become.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The wellness and fitness industry has built itself on a lot of myths that keep people stuck and frustrated. Some of the biggest lies I see repeated over and over are that diets work, restriction is the answer, you can exercise your way out of poor food choices, cardio is the best way to get fit, and that supplements can make up for a poor diet. The truth is, crash diets and quick fixes may give short-term results, but they almost always backfire. Restriction only leads to guilt and unsustainable habits. And while exercise is powerful, it can’t undo a consistently poor diet—nor can a handful of supplements replace the nutrients your body truly needs from real food. Cardio has its benefits, but it’s not the magic solution. Strength training is where long-term transformation happens, because building muscle boosts your metabolism, supports bone health, and protects your body as you age. The real formula for a strong, vibrant, and healthy life is sustainable nutrition, consistent strength training, and proper rest and recovery.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope the story people tell about me is one of purpose, intention, and heart. My greatest passion in life has always been helping others feel better — not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I want to be remembered as someone who showed up consistently for her family, friends, and clients, lifting them up, inspiring them to push their limits, and helping them see the strength they didn’t know they had. It’s not just about fitness or nutrition; it’s about creating space for people to feel confident, capable, and joyful in their own lives. My purpose is to leave a legacy of kindness, service, and empowerment — to model that hard work, faith, and care for oneself and others can coexist. I want people to remember that I lived fully, led by example, and made it my mission to help others feel better, inside and out, every single day.
