Tashya Renée shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Tashya, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
In this moment of reflection, I realize that I am being called to embrace opportunities that once filled me with fear, urging me to step beyond my comfort zone and pursue my true passions. As a parent, caregiver, Nutrition Coach and Entrepreneur what I am stepping into is advocating for autism using my voice for the voiceless as I do care for children who are autistic, and my son Tristan who is a one-of-a-kind child to me, pushed me out of my comfort zone to speak more publicly on his behalf concerning his diagnosis, and how we can be a blessing to families out in the community who have children on the spectrum.
I find myself drawn to challenges that once seemed daunting. This call to action feels like a whisper from God, a wind only I can feel in my soul to support and encourage families. Growth often lies on the other side of fear, as I navigate this journey, I am learning to trust myself more as I let go and let God lead me every step of the way.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I am Tashya Renee! I am a dedicated parent, caregiver and an innovative entrepreneur passionate about bringing forth a holistic approach in Nutrition Coaching for families of autistic children. As I embrace this personal journey into a mission to empower other families navigating similar paths, I will focus on Nutrition Coaching offering invaluable tools, tips and techniques to support families guiding them in understanding how proper nutrition plays a crucial role in our children’s lives.
At Your Beautiful SkinNectar I endeavor to provide a nurturing environment in the future where families can access tailored resources and services designed to illuminate their lives. By fostering a community of understanding and support, I will teach families how to prioritize their own health while advocating for their children’s unique needs. My hope and prayer is to offer healing, health and wholeness in a world that often feels overwhelming.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I believe bonds between people fracture when trust is damaged, communication breaks down, and when boundaries are violated. Restoring these things starts with owning responsibility, and creating a safe space for honest, non-defensive dialogue. Rebuilding trust also takes time and consistency keeping promises, being transparent and listening actively re-establishing open communication and renegotiating boundaries to reflect new needs.
At the end of the day some bonds can be repaired with care and patience, while others require deciding whether reconciliation is a safe and viable place.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I recently stopped hiding my pain and using it as power when I realized pain will only last as long as you nurture and feed it. By continuing to fester or complain on things you cannot control or maybe change, it can be a constant shadow, or mask if you allow it to grow. When you hide or deny pain, the unmet needs behind it keep signaling you to convert in ways through irritability, fatigue or patterns you repeat in relationships. Unprocessed pain also drains your energy, and it can build up into chronic stress, anxiety or even fear.
My superpower for pain is I had to let go and heal in a way that honors my experiences. The more I named, felt and addressed the hurt with care, support and time I was able to transform it into something that informs growth rather than what controls me.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, I would define the real me as being raw, real and authentic with a little bit of sassiness and class. I am an extrovert, so I do enjoy communicating and meeting new people. I also can be reserved as I observe to get the feel of you, but I am a kind, welcoming and warm woman. I prioritize meaningful connections that invite dialogue, pacing myself, ensuring and feeding myself positive supportive interactions.
I am an original one-of-a-kind Fearfully and Wonderfully Made woman!
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
Absolutely Not!!!!! I am doing what I was created to do which is serve my purpose here on earth the very thing God called me to do. I will use my gifts and talents that dwell on the inside of me, that God may get the Glory out of my life, which is now what I’m doing and what I was told to do by answering the second part of that question. I don’t believe we ever come into this world born knowing but discovering with time as we age some sooner than others but being able to identify the gift and use our talents to cultivate it as they come to life through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
