We’re looking forward to introducing you to Thomas Gio. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Thomas, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
For me, integrity matters the most.
If you don’t have integrity, your intelligence and energy don’t really mean much.
It’s about doing the right thing, even when no one’s watching.
I honestly believe that when you do good things, good things come back to you.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Thomas Gio. I’m an entrepreneur and business mentor based in the U.S. I’ve been helping people build and scale digital product businesses for the past few years. Over time, I’ve generated more than 3 million euros in online sales and earned an O1 visa for extraordinary talent, which is something I’m really proud of because it reflects the results I’ve achieved and the impact I’ve had in the industry.
I started by creating and selling my own digital products, and that experience taught me how to design systems that generate consistent income without depending on constant launches or endless content creation. Today I run a marketing agency that helps entrepreneurs do the same, turning their knowledge into automated income streams.
My main focus is integrating AI into my clients’ businesses to help them get better results, save time, and scale faster. I believe automation should give you freedom, not take it away. My goal is simple: help people build a business that runs smoothly so they can spend more time doing what they love and less time worrying about the next sale.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I’d say the people who saw me clearly before I could see myself were definitely the ones closest to me. My closest friends have always been there, constantly reminding me of what I’m capable of, even in the moments when I doubted myself. They’ve always seen my potential long before I fully realized it, and that support really pushed me to grow and aim higher.
And of course, my partner has been a huge part of that too. She’s always believed in me, even when things were uncertain, and she’s helped me become a better version of myself every day. Having someone who truly supports you and helps you see the best in yourself changes everything. It’s thanks to them that I’ve been able to see what I could really achieve.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self that even when it’s hard, it’s always worth it. The most important thing is to take action and never look back. And the only times you do look back should be to be proud of how far you’ve come. Every challenge you face will make you stronger, wiser, and help you grow into the person you’re meant to be.
Even when you doubt yourself, remember that you have what it takes. And if you don’t have the skills yet, you’ll find a way to learn them. So never lose faith in yourself, because once you believe in what you’re capable of, there’s nothing you can’t achieve.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The biggest lie in this industry is making people believe that entrepreneurship is easy, that everyone is built for it, and that it’s always cool to be an entrepreneur. When I started, entrepreneurship wasn’t trendy or glamorous at all. It was about hard work, sacrifice, and commitment. And honestly, it still is.
Being an entrepreneur means dedicating your life to something 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It means no real vacations, constant challenges, and a lot of pressure. I’m not saying that to complain, I love this life and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. But I think it’s important to be real about it.
On social media, people often only see the highlights, the freedom, the lifestyle, the success. What they don’t see is the stress, the sleepless nights, the tough decisions, and the times you question everything. Entrepreneurship is amazing, but it’s not for everyone. You have to know what you’re signing up for because it will demand every bit of your energy, focus, and determination.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing since the beginning. When I started my journey as an entrepreneur, no one really believed in it. And that’s okay, because people usually wait to see results before they start believing.
What I’ve learned is that you should always do things for yourself first, not for others. Reaching your goals and becoming the best version of yourself always starts with personal effort. Eventually, people will notice, but that shouldn’t be the reason you do it.
The mistake many people make, and I’ve been there too, is doing things expecting some kind of reaction or validation, whether positive or negative. That’s the fastest way to feel unhappy, because you become dependent on how others see you. The truth is, when you do things for yourself, it’s so much more powerful, and you end up feeling genuinely fulfilled.
