Today we’d like to introduce you to Sanna Haynes.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve been working in film, video, and social media for several years now. I started as an actress, and with my background in film, began producing my own comedy sketches intended for social media. This grew into video production for clientele with social media management and design component.
Nowadays, I would say my clientele is as diverse as my career has been. I love bringing my creative edge to everything I do for clients. Need Facebook ads? What about a designed graphics or video for those ads? Comedy sketch involving your product? I love integrating my skills into one funnel: social media platforms.
In addition, I am working on growing my own film and video projects. My character-driven series, “Classy Suzette,” is very much at the crux of all the things that are within my skill set: social media, comedy, and video (find Suzette at www.facebook.com/classysuzette).
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I wouldn’t say growing my business and clientele has always been smooth, but I would say that there have definitely been several milestones and moments that have pushed me in this direction, and allowed me to understand that I am on the right track.
As far as struggles, some of the most difficult aspects of building a business is the fear of not having enough – clients can drop out at any time and money flow can be irregular.
Please tell us about Versify Media.
Versify Media is a full-service creative and social media company. I produce video, shoot photography, create graphic design, and provide organic and paid social media management services.
As far as what sets myself and Versify apart from other businesses, I have a diverse skill set and background. My company is a great option for if you need a smorgasbord of different options for your business.
Here’s an example: Perhaps you need to build a social media presence, but don’t have beautiful photos to represent your brand or product. No problem. I will create your page, photograph your product, create a marketing video for your brand, and schedule a Facebook ad to run through the end of the month. Instead of hiring multiple businesses to work together to build your branding package, you can just go to one source.
Video marketing is the future. I have a background in video, film, and comedy (which I continue to be a practitioner of). I will write a funny, punchy script, cast the actors, and produce/complete the video (which will fit the scope of your branding otherwise, of course).
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have started my business sooner. I spent a lot of time in fear over whether to start my “own thing” or what others might think… which is silly. I’m learning now that I can accomplish a lot if I just decide to go after what I want to do, or feel called to do. I’m also learning that this is a ubiquitous struggle for a lot of people who are forging their own paths… which makes me understand that it is completely normal.
Pricing:
- Monthly social media management varies based on scope, but generally it runs between $150-$600/month. I can do a very minimal social media scope (Let’s just keep this page running and responsive!) to a full package (post a several times a day, branding, graphics, ads, etc).
- Photography starts at $150-$200, but will increase based on scope, time, and editing.
- Video is an incredibly diverse subject – very basic motion graphics videos can be completed for $100-$200, but larger video projects can go up into the $1000’s and beyond based on scope. It’s all about what you need!
