Today we’d like to introduce you to LaTange Baker.

Hi LaTange, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am crazy about my skin feeling and looking good! So I decided one day to make my family somebody scrubz. After about ten tries… I said, think I got something! So I began to give as gifts and everyone kept asking me to make some. So then I knew it was official. I am all about self-care and it being all-natural, from the products that go into my Locs (which is none by the way) to products on my body.

I started out making only All Natural Suga Body Scrubz… I had so many people ask about Soap and Shea butta. I would always say, “no… I am good”. One day I was thinking I may want to listen to my customers… and try. So I made Shea Butta Soap, then I recently started making SheaButta. It’s whipped and turns into oil when you rub it together. June 2021, we celebrated two years in business! It’s a Great Feeling!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been smooth… sometimes, coming up with the mixtures and scents… not an easy task. When it was just for myself and family. It was real simple because I just made what I liked. Now I have to think about others and what everyone likes.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in everything being All Natural. No Colors and No Chemicals. I am most proud of hearing the testimonies, helping young kids that suffer from eczema, dry patches or cracked skin to be happy wearing short sleeves or shorts because my products have helped tremendously.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yessss! Keeping your website updated is the best. Business went well during covid-19 crisis because everyone was ordering online.
