Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracy Cuevas.

Hi Tracy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Two years ago, I started modeling after a hurtful divorce so I decided to find something to do for myself. I became a member of a modeling studio, taking professional photos and videos to show my passion for beauty and fashion. Modeling as a curvy plus woman has boosted my confidence to another level which I knew I could perform comfortably and confidently in hopes to reach more curvy and plus-size young women to accept their body positively and it became a success and a dream come true.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Working as an independent plus curvy model has not been easy due to me having to spend money, travel and worry if anyone was going to see me and expect me to work in this industry. Being told what to wear and what not to wear sometimes made me feel as if I was not in control of how I wanted to portray myself. It became a challenge but also a learning lesson.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a curvy plus-size model for natural hair, fashion and beauty. Switching up my style from sports to motorcycles, cars, being painted nude to wearing heels or no shoes at all and sometimes lingerie. I am most proud of my audience, friends and family support to continue this journey that helps other young women they see themselves in myself.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was a chunky girl who was quiet and shy which led me to follow others, watch and listen to what they would do to see what could help me break out of my shell. I played outside love music and dreamed of one day being on the television like the artist I saw on screen.
