Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Jimenez.
Hi Vanessa, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I knew at a young age that I wanted to own a business. I tried a lot of different avenues, fashion, cosmetology, aesthetics and business management. A few years ago, I went through a bit of a financial hardship and it was then when I surrendered to what was around me and went within to find my purpose.
During this new journey, I came across ritual oils. I was fascinated in the practice and decide to do just that practice. I researched for hours, day in and day out. Learning how to truly connect with the energy around me as well as the energy of herbs and other ingredients. Still, I was just creating these oils for myself for assistance in my life. Right before the pandemic hit, someone suggested I go out on my own and start a business. I was unsure what kind of business I would create or what kind of skill did I even have to offer. That’s when it clicked and Mama Vida Botanica was created. Since then we have sold over 900 products all around the world.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
There are definitely struggles when starting a business; having to learn all the different roles that come with running a business is one to start. Taking those initial risk with your time and money are scary, you’re never sure if it’s going to work out until you try it. It’s sometimes like a puzzle; some pieces you can place right away but other times, you have to keep trying different pieces until one fits.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an energetic practitioner; I create ritual oils, bath soaks and candles but mainly known for my oils. Right now our top seller is our money drawing oil “Rich Af” which was actually our first product. I am most proud of my hard work and consistency. Never giving up even on those days when I truly wanted to. What sets me apart from others is ME anyone can make an oil but no one can put my love or my energy into it.
What matters most to you?
What matters the most to me are my customers of course. My oils are not just pretty; they’re created with intentions for others to experience anything they desire. Without them, there would be no Mama Vida Botanica!
