Community Highlights: Meet Carolyn Cuellari of The Nightmare Factory

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolyn Cuellari.

Hi Carolyn, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Raised as a Jersey girl, graduating from Rutgers University with a BS in Science/Nutritional Science and Dietetics. My love for Fitness and Nutrition started out as a love for others and their health and overall well-being. I truly wanted to help people live a better life, become better versions of themselves with using nutrition/food as their medicine of healing. I wasn’t able to get a job in the nutrition field for many reasons but I decided to use my backup plan and worked in a gym. After a few years, I was approached by a fellow graduate and l landed my ideal nutrition job. After years and years of working for someone else, my husband gave me the courage to start my own business and to start doing things my way and on my own schedule.

Now onto how I ended up in here, in Georgia at The Nightmare Factory. Let’s just say it started with a dream… not necessarily my dream but my husbands’, which in the long run ended up being a dream job for me. He had this idea of opening up a wrestling school and one morning woke up and said, “We’re moving to Georgia!” The struggle and grind were real, but as a team, we made this a reality.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This was not a smooth road at all. The first bump was telling all my clientele that I had only two months left before packing up and moving to Georgia. This was a very difficult thing for me to do, all the years of putting in extra hours and dedication to build up a business to now letting it go. It had to be done. Closing down shop was gut-wrenching. This bitter-sweet moment as it was because of my current situation and being involved in my husband’s business, still doing what I love, Fitness and Nutrition. The move itself was stressful and challenging. We stayed with a family member until we decided to get our own place (which was one month of being down there) and then open up a wrestling school within two months of buying a new home… Yikes!!!

We both barely had jobs. I worked training some clients, did job interviews every day until I finally just said yes. So you can only imagine the nerves and stress we both had going on and how we were going to juggle everything. Both of us working multiple jobs, going to school at night, and barely making ends meet. Then one day, things started getting better, all the hard work paid off, and I guess you can say a little bit of luck because of Cody and Brandi Rhodes. We are truly thankful for them and the opportunities they gave to my husband and me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our training facility is now one of the top schools for Pro Wrestling. Our facility is located in Norcross, Georgia, with plenty to back it as we share space with Chip Smith Performance Systems, who had a creditable name of working with thousands of Professional and Elite World-Class Athletes. I, Carolyn Cuellari help run my husband’s business, in addition, I am the on-site nutritionist. I customize meal plans according to each athlete’s goals and assist in making better and healthier alternatives.

Our facility as a whole is different from others because of all the incentives we provide. Nutrition and a fully equipped weight room with our top-notch Strength and Conditioning coach separate us from most, making us very valuable. Fitness and nutrition is by far the missing link in many businesses, and we happen to have it and do it well. The most proud thing is to call The Nightmare Factory our own. It’s something that has a history in how we got to this very point and the brand itself has so much more potential for the future. The main thing I want people to know is, if you have talent, that’s great… but it’s not talent that will set you apart. It’s hungry, coming to train and train hard but at the same time remaining humble.
