Conversations with Daijah Morrison

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daijah Morrison.

Daijah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ll start with running away from home at the age of 18. I had graduated high school and wanted to move out of my home quickly. I left my strict, somewhat corrupt Christian upbringing to begin my studies at Georgia Southern University. I hadn’t known much about “the real world” past Savannah, GA. Once in school, I was exposed to a lot of things, good and bad. While at Georgia Southern, I worked as a cashier, retail worker, newborn photographer and a librarian’s assistant… long story short, the small-town life and boring jobs just were not for me. I only got my degree in mastering wasting money and partying so I decided to step away from my studies and seriously pursue real estate. I moved to Atlanta at the beginning of the pandemic (January 2020). Maintaining my means, I was sewing/selling masks as well as working at the “Soup or Salad” place until I realized I was really unhappy, wanting more income and a different lifestyle that fit me better. Eventually, I landed a bartending job at Trapeze, a swinger’s bar. It was my first real glimpse into nightlife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not too long after, I decided to finally become a licensed adult entertainer, hired at Onyx, Strokers and Gentlemen’s Club Atl.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course, I ran into plenty of hurdles! The journey to where I am has not been easy and being where I am is not easy, either. Learning how to self-persevere with the big heart I have is so trying in my line of work. Overall maintaining my mental health is probably the biggest thing I have to juggle. I am nowhere close to finishing this journey, by the way.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am currently a dancer, actively working at Gentlemen’s Club Atlanta. I still study real estate through UGA and operate my businesses, Capture Todai Photography and the Benevolent Mask Company. People know me for my kind nature, professionalism and charismatic nature. I gain support from my family and colleagues no matter which venture I am on, which helps me tremendously. Capturing priceless memories and protecting people with my masks always make what I do worth it. I take pride in remaining consistent, building myself up into someone that can truly help others.

What does success mean to you?
True success is met once you have met personal goals and is in a position to elevate other people and/or their situation. Whether it’s leading by example or philanthropy.
