Today we’d like to introduce you to Destiny Allen.
Hi Destiny, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hey my name is Destiny Allen first I want to start off by saying Thank you God For allowing me to have such talent and his many blessings he has given me. I was 4 when a piece of me died which was my mother my grandma use to cook all the time I watched her cook up some meals later on she passed away. also my daddy died when I was 12. I first started cooking when I was 14 years old I watch other people cook and I watched cooking channels on YouTube. I was like oh this is something that I want to do so I started cooking at an early age. I went to job Corp in North Carolina to get a trade in 2012 I took up cooking even though I knew how to cook I wanted it to be gourmet style. I was pregnant also trying to finish it was very hard. But by the grace of god I finished and completed all my courses. While obtaining my servsafe in 2013 also I gave birth to a beautiful little girl December 21,2013 that was really exciting. Life was really challenging for me but I never gave up I had gotten me & my daughter our first apartment in 2014 so that’s when I started cooking I had to make sure it was a delicious meal on the table for us I cooked everyday family and friends always wanted to come to my house to eat because I threw down in the kitchen. 2017 my living Arrangements was kind of Hectic I stopped cooking because I wasn’t in a stable Environment this slowed me down from my dream. In 2018 me & my daughter was able to move in our first house I was so happy I was able to cook again also having a full time job I made it happen.
January 2020 I became pregnant March 2020 Covid 19 Occurred it was horrible I started selling my plates all the way up until august because I was so tired while being pregnant and trying to cook also having diabetes this made my life a tad bit Complicated I was in & out the hospital because of my health, being high risked, and just trying to Cope with everything at one time. I had my handsome son a month early on September 14, 2020 my due date was October 21,2020 3 days before my birthday.l that was so exciting I felt love all over again then later on in October I was feeling really down, depressed, sick didn’t feel like myself I felt horrible so I went to the doctor & found out some horrible news the doctor said I tested positive for Covid 19 I was Terrified because this was my first time getting this horrible Disease Especially Having a new born I had to do it all sick & everything I definitely wasn’t able to cook or literally do anything of course I had to Quarantine me & my kids together for 14 days this was the worst I thought my kids was going to get it because of me I had to still be in mommy mode for my kids . God Truly blessed me after my 14 days was up I felt better I went back to the doctor three weeks later and tested negative. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to pull through without him I wouldn’t even be here today.
In January 2021, I started working at a daycare Every day after work I would cook a fresh delicious meal for me & my daughter.. March 3, 2020 I obtained my LLC for my business called bosslady_foodz now I’m serving a lot of people which has always been my everyday dream to strive nothing was ever giving out to me I always made it happen through the good & the bad remember to never give up and work hard for what you want, be blessed love destiny.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No it has not been a smooth road I had some Challenges through my 27 years of living it has not been easy. Some of my struggles Were Not having a mother figure also not having a father figure kind of pushed me back to not know what love was but I never gave up I always wanted to strive for better. I am a true believer of god he has brought me through many things I can’t complain.

bosslady_foodz was founded on December 12, 2020 I came up with the name bosslady _foodz because I cook boss meals for any & everybody giving them the taste of a boss meal. Also letting people enjoy the Variety foods that I cook such as steak, lamchops, porkchop, chicken, oxtails I say you can have whatever you like. I also have my blue strawberry 🍓 crack lemonade with fresh fruit this sells pretty fast 💨 I specialize in my delicious lamb chop & salmon plates these sell out pretty fast. I am known for everything I cook no matter what it is . What sets me apart from others is my Uniqueness I do things differently I put my heart my & soul into my cooking I just love what I do so that others can taste the love of my food.. my most proud brand is my salmon with my creamy spinach mushroom sauce. What matters Most of my life I would have answered my relationship to God and sacrificially serving him and others in love. My kids, my family I want to share what’s helps me get through life. Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones. – Proverbs 3:5-8
