Conversations with Jacqueline Ward

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Ward.

Hi Jacqueline, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved crafts, decorating, attending weddings and watching TLC wedding shows. I can remember as a child, I would get my mom’s Jet Magazine and go straight to the wedding section. They would feature a couple every month and I would fall in love with all the decorations and pretty flowers.

I started decorating/planning for weddings and parties as a hobby over 20 years ago. My passion to plan and decorate drove me to get certified and start my own business. I officially started my event planning business Beginning2End, LLC in 2018.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road! Over the course of the four years after starting my business, I’ve encountered several challenges. Wedding and Event planning is a lucrative business and there are many planners in the Atlanta Area. All business owners should have one common goal which is to build clientele. Being in this competitive business, I would sometimes do an event at a low cost just to get exposure. I always go over and beyond for my clients and treat each event as if it was my own. Now the majority of my business is through word of mouth. People do not forget when you deliver superb service.

One of my favorite scriptures I often refer to is, Proverbs 18:16 A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before the great. With God ordering my footsteps and knowing that I am walking in what he has graced me to do, has built my confidence. I will not say challenges won’t occur, but we can use them as learning tools and grow from them.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Certified Wedding and Event Planner. We plan for Weddings, Birthday Parties, Baby Showers, Graduations, Retirement and any special event. We assist clients in planning their event from beginning to end. We set up an initial consultation to discuss packages, the type of event desired and their budget. Once a contract has been set, we later discuss and plan the client’s event in its entirety. Our goal it to make sure your event is perfectly plan and runs smoothly as I am known as the “Timeline Queen”. I don’t play about my timelines!

Outside of learning and growing as a business, each of our clients are different and unique in their own way. To be able to make their dream event into a reality makes us most proud. I am blessed to have a supportive husband Micheal Ward and two wonderful assistants, Shawntae Nettles and Debra Jones. God has also sent successful business owners that have been great mentors and giving us wise Godly advice. Our clients seem to be very pleased with our service and that too makes us proud. What sets us apart from others, is that we don’t limit our service. We are very passionate about what we do. Our clients are welcomed to reach out to us anytime and can expect to receive a response almost immediately if not sooner.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I am definitely a risk taker! I take advantage of every opportunity presented to me. It offers me the ability to expand my creativity and take risks that doesn’t necessarily happen on a normal day.
