Daily Inspiration: Meet Jaeda Walker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaeda Walker.

Hi Jaeda, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had a strong passion and connection with art and design. Art was a way for me to get thoughts out of my mind without having to speak them. I struggle with explaining my mind still to this day. Not to go all dragon ball Z, but It’s as almost like when I draw, I’m outside my body. It’s as though my consciousness is separated from the mind and body and my ultra instincts kick in.

I never know what a drawing will turn into until I come back from my sort of trans. That is why when I explain Vū, it’s all things good and all things bad, like voodoo. It’s. However, I’m feeling in that moment. Vū started in January 2020. Once I started to master drawing in this sort of unconscious state, it began to blossom in January of 2021. My thoughts began to pour from my body in a way I haven’t experienced before until now. It was a new way to draw for me, and idk. Maybe other artists have experienced this as well, which allows them to create new waves.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As of now, the only thing that wasn’t smooth sailing for me was me. Once I really got in tune with my unconscious self, I was able to force myself to move with my instincts and not my cluttered mind. This is still the beginning for me, so I’m sure I have plenty more tests waiting for me throughout this journey. It’ll never not be a struggle, but it’s my passion, and it’s my job. It forces me to use the forces within me that I would never have awakened.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
The way I create, as I’ve explained before, isn’t very traditional. So I’d say I specialize in painting, drawing, digital art, designing, and sculpture. I am still mastering all of these as we speak. There will always be room for me to grow and learn, and I’m excited for that. I’m known for trying it all. Anyone who knows or has worked with me knows I do it all or if I have a vision, I’ll execute it in the way I need to so that projects get finished. I am most proud of in this moment my figurine who will eventually turn into a statue. My figurine is the capsule for Vū. Everything lies in him and me.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
To take criticism as advice. In this industry, criticism is probably going to be my best friend. It gives me a chance to see through the eyes of my fellow humans.
