Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Goode.
Hi Nicole, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am an academically credentialed and professionally trained Sociologist and Sexologist. I initially started as a Social Scientist/Researcher, Academic Coach and Independent Educational Consultant after graduating from DePaul University (Chicago, Illinois) with a master’s degree and 3.9/4.0 GPA in 2011. Specifically, I have a Master of Arts in Sociology specializing in Sexuality, Gender, Men/Masculinity and Power, Group Dynamics, Race and Ethnicity, Social Inequality and Stratification.
In the mist of my independent consulting and coaching journey, I decided to become totally entrepreneurial and fully utilize my subject matter expertise and knowledge by establishing N.R. Goode Enterprises LLC, which is composed of four divisions: Nicole R. Goode, M.A.’s School of Sexology, Nikki G’s Spot, The Office of Nicole R. Goode, M.A., and UnCovering You with Nikki G (PODCAST).
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been smooth in the creation and actualization of my business ventures, however, the COVID-19 quarantine starting in 2020 and still going has temporarily stopped me from conducting in-person classes and workshops, which anyone who has ever attended absolutely loves and thoroughly enjoys.
Nevertheless, there has been an economic impact from the pause of traditional face-to-face instruction provided via my school and company. Although all tutorials and courses are currently available and conducted online, some people still prefer receiving instruction and being taught in-person. And, I completely understand that preference.
The virtual courses offered at Nicole R. Goode, M.A.’s School of Sexology are an investment of time, consistent effort and money… in one’s self. In response to those who have a preference for traditional face-to-face in-person learning, I have created course options that include one-on-one virtual instruction and coaching with me. In consideration of the current economic climate, Nicole R. Goode, M.A.’s School of Sexology, offers payment plans and opportunities for partial scholarships, Nikki G’s Spot also offers payment plans for the Sensuality Empowerment Sessions.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Sociologist-Sexologist. I make it a point to emphasize sociology not simply because that is the advanced degree I earned but it is the main perspective from which I teach. Sexologists vary in pedagogical emphasis. My sociological treatment of sexology along with psychological, scientific, spiritual, historical and cultural context allows for a thorough and holistic approach to the study of human sexuality… specifically Black Sexuality in America. Just as unique as I am in my specializations and approach, so is the experience of African descendants in the Americas.

The Office of Nicole R. Goode, M.A. offers holistic consultation services to individuals and couples. Consultation sessions with me are similar to counseling services. Specifically, my consultations are action/resolution-oriented, person(client)-centered and focused on personal growth, ‘self-uncovering’, self-agency and self-efficacy. I serve more as a facilitator, teacher and guide. Now, you may be thinking that there has to be a problem or a pressing issue in order for an individual or couple to seek consultations. Not necessarily and definitely not always.
That is the thing about consultation services with me… just as life is a journey, so is our need throughout various stages of our lives to seek guidance, clarity, confirmation, more knowledge, in-depth analysis, a different perspective, a call-to-action, a revelation, a realization, an affirmation, wisdom, understanding and support. If you want answers to life’s perplexities and vicissitudes, I’ve got’em! My clients affectionately nicknamed me “The Oracle”.

Moreover, UnCovering You with Nikki G (Podcast) provides a non-judgmental space for those who want to learn more and understand more. Nikki G ensures guests and audience members know who they are, what they do or may feel is not necessarily abnormal, although it may not be accepted as a social norm.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Completing the fullness of my soul purpose and using everything GOD-DESS/SOURCE put in me, which is as much personal as it is spiritual and humanitarian. This fullness of being as I am matters most to me because it is all-encompassing of why I am here and what all I must do for those I love, those I am called to, those who are called to me, and all of my posterity.
In my last breath on earth, I will be able to say: “It is finished.” One’s divine work is the highest work, even if it is attacked and misunderstood. My path is as it is and I WILL SEE IT TO THE END. That’s all that matters.
