Exploring Life & Business with Analise Garcia of Au Beauty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Analise Garcia.

Hi Analise, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I knew I always had multiple passions, from beauty to fashion to even planning out things. After graduating with my bachelor’s in Business Management, I thought this is it, I am starting my business but it’s way more than having a college degree, I learned. I always had this urge to become my own boss, it was always in me and it took me a while to finally act on it. Having that fire in me drove me to starting my own lash business selling lashes to women to empower them through beauty. Starting that business was a challenge but a great learning curve for me as a woman and as an entrepreneur. Now I have started two more businesses and a podcast and this is just the beginning. I have gotten to where I am now because I stepped out of my own damn way. All I had to do was believe in myself and run with it.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Since the get-go, it was not easy at all. I am a young mom, so already, the odds were against me because people assume that it’s already hard enough for a young, single mom. I never let that stop me and keep me in one place, I broke that stereotype and started my business. With just starting out, there’s so much obstacles to entrepreneurship and there was plenty of times that I wanted to quit. It’s not a quick fix when starting a business, it takes time, research, and determination. But the struggles and challenges is what makes the journey, it’s part of the process.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Au Beauty?
Au Beauty was made to empower women through beauty because everyone is special in their own way. Au is the scientific sign for Gold, I believe we all have that gold spark in us and beauty can help us bring it out. Our lashes offer easy, effortless beauty and help bring your inner beauty out. Along with beauty, I also wanted to start my podcast Two Sisters in a Pod with my sister to share our stories about our lives to help inspire and encourage people to do whatever it is you want to do.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Through Covid-19, it has been a challenge for everyone but I believe it was a blessing in disguise for some of us. I got to spend more time with my son and on myself to really understand what I want. It allowed me time to reflect on where I am and where I am going.
