Hidden Gems: Meet Anthony Conley of AMC Records

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Conley.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Born in Compton, California, raised in the Watts Nickerson Gardens Project on 112st same hood as Grammy Awarder Jay Rock from Top Dog Entertainment and attend high school with Music Icon Kendrick Lamar. I grew heavy in politics and basketball playing nine years, playing for my local high school at Compton Centennial and later transforming to Great basin High School where I won a Utah State Basketball Champion and also graduating high school in same year of 1997 and schooling vocational school with 2 Trades in Salesperson/General Merchandise and Community Service Officer/Security Officer in 1997 as at Clearfield Job Corp Center were I also played for Clearfield Job Corp Basketball Team from 96-97 were we won 2nd Place in North Dakota Job Corp Basketball Tournament and 1st Place in Clearfield Job Corp Basketball Tournament host by Clearfield JCC and we won it all. I was named Co/Mvp with my Teammate Kelly Smith from Cheyanne Wyoming. After High School, I attended Salt Lake Community before going back to L.A. and after years of schooling myself on the streets of Compton / Watts I finally leaded a Job in 99-2002 Where I worked for department of criminal justice planning with our 501c nonprofit called Community Self Determination Institute which did the subcontract for Jim Brown Amer-I-Can who was instrumental in 1992 Gang Peace Treaty, So I worked Project Watts which did Gang Intervention & Prevention, Mentoring, Healing Circle, Neighborhood sports league. (sourcemag20002issue) Just too added to my community outreach resume, I got into Prison Reform and Parole/ Probation Reform here in New York City with organizations like Katal also added Certified Recovery Peer Advocate by the State of New York as a (CRPA). We started our 1st Label in 2005 Watts Konference Musik with I’m the Ceo with Artist / President Young Speech from Watts, Cali and also the launch of AMC Records Inc in 2014 and if you follow us on social media, you’ll see the wave and fame celebs I know from Helecia aka S.K.G and G-Unit West Spider Loc, Dj Lazy K, Agallah Don Bishop, Murder baby, Big Flip side O.F.T.B, NWA, Game just to name few. Now we taking it to the Next Level with our New Network called We on Nation TV Media and my Watts Radio Show will be back online the Summer 2022 to hear about what AMC and We On Nation have coming up.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Yes, nothing can stop me but myself God has given me gift to bring people together put out great content music and movie-wise and letting people knowing the struggles from the project to a penthouse is grind you have to stay focused on through all ups and downs.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I am willing to be a mentor to others as well as building my network and be mentor by another to help expand my global businesses and working with different like-minded individuals works for me especially when we can see our plan and vision turn into reality.
