Life & Work with India Leigh

From an early age, India was always drawn to the metaphysical and searched for spiritual connection in a variety of communities but didn’t discover her true path until later in life when she became a mother at 41. India worked in journalism for 20 years, moving from editorial and management positions at newspapers and magazines to independent freelance writing. The topics she often covered were wellness related, from clean eating and holistic medicine to yoga and meditation practices.

While she loved her work and the experiences it offered, the hectic, deadline-driven pace paired with her high-strung, Type A personality eventually took a toll on her mental and physical state. After years of seeking out and researching ways to alleviate the constant stress she was feeling, India discovered a better way to live. Her challenging and transformative journey into motherhood is what opened her up to a higher calling. She realized the importance of understanding our human limitations and felt the positive effects of fostering a deeper spiritual connection within herself. Now, she feels guided to share that knowledge and empowerment with others, helping them come into a deeper connection with their own divine energy and creative power by aligning their energy, thoughts, words, and actions with their greatest good and highest purpose. In contrast to the traditional psychic narrative many people envision, her focus is not on reading minds or predicting the future. She brings a more modern, integrated approach to intuitive reading and coaching. The messages delivered through her are always intended to help the recipient see their own power, potential healing and inner connection, giving them the tools and guidance they need to take the next steps into aligning more fully with their soul purpose and the physical expression of their true highest self.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I aim to reframe the perception of psychic or intuitive work with a fresh, personal approach to mindfulness and spirituality. During today’s challenging times, people are seeking a deeper sense of connection and purpose in their lives, resulting in a surge of interest in this emerging piece of the health and wellness puzzle. Over the past four years, I’ve seen a real shift in my professional practice as more and more people open up to intuitive work and therapy. My goal is to help make the concept more widely embraced and accessible to anyone looking for deeper meaning and connection in their lives.

I use a variety of modalities and gifts to help others clearly understand the messages they are being sent. I also empower those I work with to connect more deeply with their own intuition on a daily basis, aligning their energy, thoughts, words and actions with their greatest good and highest purpose. One of the biggest challenges I’ve found is helping others overcome their own fears and skewed perceptions of intuitive work itself. Many people still hold to misconceptions or outdated beliefs that psychic work is all crystal balls and fortune-tellers. The truth is everyone has the gift of intuition; they just need help connecting with it amid all the noise of the world around us.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
The book The Art of Extreme Self-Care by Cheryl Richardson was a game-changer for me years ago. I love The Seat of The Soul by Gary Zukav. I love the resources that YouTube has to offer as far as meditations, readings (like mine) and more.
