Today we’d like to introduce you to Taria Johnson.
Hi Taria, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started off trying to understand my purpose beyond my other assets. I wanted to start a business but unlike many people, I know I wanted to do something I love. I have always had a love for fashion since I was young, but just no particular type of fashion. I am excited to be launching my fashion this summer. It screams everything about me and more.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a smooth road so far, from the various amounts of people that has supported me. I didn’t think or feel like I would get good feedback. So to see people actually following and supporting and rooting for me really encourages me to keep going. I haven’t had anyone to doubt me, I don’t even surround myself with those kinds of people and energies. I’m big on believing everything is limitless.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am known for being a teacher. I teach full-time at an elementary school in Atlanta. A lot of people were supportive to me being so young and wanting to be a teacher and becoming one. I am most proud of my ability to put my mind to something and actually do it! A lot of people have a hard time doing so. That’s also something I think sets me apart from people. I don’t limit myself; the sky is the limit for me. And I really mean that when I say there’s never been a limit for me. My family members can vouch for me.
What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future is to continue to do my best, never give up and just create that lifestyle of stability. I want to go global with my clothing line but remain a teacher. Because no matter what, my love for education is and will forever be endless. I really enjoy it.
