Life & Work with Trinity Lisbon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trinity Lisbon.

Hi Trinity, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I lost both parents at 10 & 12 and from then on I was raised by myself and multiple family members on and off. When I was 17, I decided to go on and start my life, working at retail and fast-food restaurants, wondering what’s my next move in life then I stumbled across Atl and my second month here I got picked at a casting call for TALES ON BET with a speaking role! My first real gig with acting. Then I started makeup when I was 14, playing in my sister’s makeup kit. I would sneak my sister’s makeup and wear it to school to perfect eyebrows!

As time went on, it became a skill for me and I started taking clients after my first makeup certification then a lash certification once once I realized I could do so much more during the COVID, I enrolled in Ceihairschool and completed a Master cosmetology program for 9/10 months to complete I just graduated April 12th the happiest moment I’ve had in a long time, right before COVID hit I started building a booth rental salon that holds six stations between makeup, hair, aesthetics, as well as nails. And I’ve been trying to learn to market and build my brand my business is called Angels Beauty boutique and I’ve been working on this project for a little over a year now. Now my next goal is to complete real estate school to become an agent and continue to build my future!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The hard part was that growing up alone without guidance and learning how to do everything on your own is kind of confusing when you make your own right and wrong choices and also another hard part was when you don’t have any support and doing it all alone with no one to vent to talk to going to be a shoulder to lean on losing my parents at a young age really prepared me for life earlier than I expected I dropped out of school in 11th grade I was in foster care for four months And I just proceeded with my GED and once I completed that I went straight to working in figuring that entrepreneurship would be my best way out.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in makeup and natural hair I feel as though makeup is one of the strong suits I am very proud of the fact that I am a master cosmetologist, which means I can do every area of beauty and I feel like what sets me apart from others is the experience that I give and my personality.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I’ve learned a lot about Covid but more these days it’s so many opinionated conspiracies that my biggest thing is the world just going back to normal, which looks like it possibly would never happen. Praying for the best.
