Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Goodson.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My career began in 2005 as a Nail Professional in high-end spa/resort properties, eventually branching out as an Independent Contractor and now a Salon Owner.
I also hold credentials and experience as a Certified Master Pedicurist, Certified Podologist, Advanced Nail Technologist, Certified Medical Nail Technician, Certified Clinical Podiatric Medical Assistant, Creative Nail Design (CND) Education Ambassador and featured Nail Artist in multiple health and beauty magazines, online publications and television. My most recent work is featured on TNT’s hit series “Claws.”
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
At multiple points on my journey, I struggled with confidence in my abilities and what I had to offer the world around me.
For the longest time I did not acknowledge nor act according to my full potential, I essentially wasted so much valuable time and energy with negative self-talk, fear and a failure to launch. I’ve finally realized that the only thing that was stopping me was ‘me’.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Cured Nail – what should we know?
The Cured Nail is a modern, well-appointed nail studio focused on providing individualized and health conscientious care with a creative edge. Known for natural hand and foot care, we have garnered a large client following from the recommendations of referring physicians.
At The Cured Nail, we provide our clients with a high level of cleanliness and sanitation while maintaining superior service and fashion-forward creativity in a private setting. As required, we sanitize and disinfect all implements after every use with hospital grade disinfectant. We set ourselves apart from other nail salons by performing the highest level of infection control available: Autoclave Sterilization. Brand new, disposable one-time use files and buffers are used for each manicure and pedicure and all hard surfaces and equipment are cleaned between clients with an EPA approved disinfectant. In addition to safe and gentle removal of nail coatings, no use of harmful chemicals or invasive tools.
Alexandra is certified in diabetic foot care as well as caring for those with compromised immune systems and sensitive skin. Her goal is to establish that health is of the utmost importance and that there’s no need to sacrifice a safe salon service for nail design – not when you can have it all with peace of mind.
