Meet Amber Cunningham

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Cunningham.

Hi Amber, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my journey in the makeup industry in 2018. I was inspired by Supa Cent, the owner of The Crayon Case, to start my own makeup business selling various products. During this process, I wanted to make sure that I was knowledgeable of each product that I would be selling. At this point in time, I knew only how to apply a bold lip and mascara. I took a few makeup courses to learn the process, techniques and products.

In my trainings, I found my passion. The thing that I loved the most was creating something beautiful on a blank canvas. When the coronavirus closed everything down, it allow me more time to focus on my craft. I decided then to switch over to the influencer side of makeup instead of dealing with products. I furthered my training by joining Making Beauty a Business with Tiffany Violet in April 2020. This group provided me with so much knowledge about the industry, how to present myself as an influencer, working with brands and etc. I dedicated myself to put out content at least 3 to 4 times a week. It seemed difficult at times juggling full-time employment, home life and the influencer life. Hard work and dedication provided me with partnerships working with growing brands, as well as larger brands like The Crayon Case and Good Molecules. The influencer life is good but my local followers wanted me to themselves, which launched Stamped by A. Nicole. Stamped by A. Nicole is a service that I provide to anyone in the surrounding Metro Birmingham area. I travel to the customer to provide them with an in-home V.I.P. makeup experience. When someone books with me, they are guaranteed an amazing, fun, friendly and clean experience. We provide individuals services for any event or occasion. I also have services available for weddings and other special events. I love what I do. Makeup is an art that changes lives – one brush at a time!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has not been too difficult. I would say every business or brand can go through growing pains.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a travelling makeup artist by day, influencer by night. I have a makeup business called Stamped by A. Nicole. I provide an in-home V.I.P. makeup experience. I come equipped with seating, lighting and products to enhance the beauty of the customer. I am most proud of my dedication and perseverance to pushing through the pandemic. I feel that what sets me apart from the rest is me and my unique style. I am very innovative in possessing excellent color perception and artistic ability. I am the type of person that never meets a stranger. I am patient, tactful and an excellent communicator.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
First and foremost, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me the provisions to do what I was called to do. To my best friend, Michael Smith for being my everything. Making Beauty a Business with Tiffany Violet for helping me grow into an amazing artist and influencer. The group has allowed me to network and grow with so many other influencers like myself. Lastly, I have to thank my mentor, Patrice Marshall, for pushing me to the EXTREME. She has been an amazing mentor and friend. I can’t thank her enough for the overflow of kind words, inspirational speeches and constructive criticism.
