Meet Dr Rondrick Williamson of Podiatry Care of Georgia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr Rondrick Williamson.

Named as one of the ‘Most Beautiful Doctors in America’ in 2013, Dr Rondrick Williamson literally built his entire career on hardwork and dedication to excellence. From humble beginnings, he has managed to create quite a presence in the world today. Born in Mullins, SC, his mother struggled to make ends meet while raising three boys and at times had to go without, but modest beginnings didn’t get in the way of his goal of having a successful career as a physician. His mother struggled alone to provide for her three boys. He lived in public housing. “We had things we needed,” Williamson said, “but a lot of the ‘wants’ we weren’t able to have.

Williamson completed undergraduate studies at Clemson University earning a BS degree in Biological Science. He then traveled to Cleveland, Ohio where he attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine ultimately receiving a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. After completing OCPM, he was selected to attend the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio where he completed his residency training. He is currently board certified in Diabetic Wound Care and Management and is also a fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My journey has not been easy. Haven grown up in a single family home, being on public assistance, oftentimes living in public housing created its own set of obstacle and challenges.

As you know, we’re big fans of Podiatry Care of Georgia LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am sole owner of Podiatry Care of Georgia LLC. PODIATRY CARE OF GEORGIA (PCOG) offers expert medical care for adolescent, adult and senior patients. We offer our patients a wide variety of services including: diabetic foot care, wound care, fungal nail solutions, custom orthoses and treatment for the most common foot and ankle abnormalities. Foot and ankle problems can be a burden. We offer in house vascular testing and also the latest technology in fungal toenail treatment. I have been practicing podiatry for over 20 years.

We are an inclusive practice and welcome individuals of all races, gender and sexuality.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
As a child, I was always focused on achieving. It has always been my goal to become successful despite life’s obstacles. I was somewhat of an introvert and was often ridiculed by my peers. I was interested in the sciences. I really wasn’t the type of kid who watched or played sports. I was all academic.
