Meet Gourmetangiie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gourmetangiie.

Gourmetangiie , let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always had a passion for food since I was little. Being multiracial and born in Canada, I was introduced to plenty of different foods from my culture. My background is Jamaican, German, and Guyanese. Growing up, I experienced the many different tastes of food. My mother is a great cook. She cooked every day and made sure I knew what good food was or tasted. Eventually, I moved to Louisiana as a kid and I learned and had a love for the southern food. Growing up, we ate at a lot of restaurants. I then started to have an interest in capturing those moments of food, the colors, the presentation, and taste. I was posting pictures of food on my personal page for years and I’m also a home cook. I’ve always got a lot of messages of people who tried certain restaurants because they have seen my post or would ask me for my home-cooked ingredients.Eventually, after tons of people saying I should start a food blog because they love my content, I went ahead and started up Gourmetangiie which I’m very proud of. I love being able to let the community know about hidden gems and local places they haven’t tried out.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I wouldn’t say a smooth road but anything you want, you must put the work in and be consistent. So every day, I try to become a better version of myself. I’m building from the ground up, so I continue to work hard every day. My journey is going well so far I have connected with plenty of restaurants and people in the community.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about gourmetangiie – what should we know?

My page is unique because I created the content of what I like and I also get personal and cook for my following to help them prepare simple meals at home. I am proud of my food blog.
