Meet Keisha Palmer of KP Financial

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keisha Palmer.

Hi Keisha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Keisha Palmer and I’m a single mother of one teenage son. I’m also a full-time entrepreneur of a credit restoration franchise. I started this business over two years ago. What and who provoked me to start my franchise was a good friend of mine. Prior to this, I was an HR Professional for fifteen years, but like many other single mothers, It was tough and raising a son in today’s society was definitely challenging. I had more bills than I could handle and I was definitely looking for ways to increase my income and my credit score. I needed to change my situation in a major way.

Once I started my business, I was able to walk away from corporate America within the first eight months, which was a huge blessing. Not only that I was able to gain my buying power back and was able to help hundreds of individuals just like me do the same as it’s definitely needed in today’s society. I absolutely love what I do. I was even featured on Fox News as one of the top entrepreneurs in 2021. Fast forward, life begin to happen. Last year August 16th, 2020, my seventeen-year-old son was murdered. I was devastated, I took the rest of the year off to grieve, but then I had to realize that people were depending on me and my son would’ve wanted me to get back to serving mankind as he was my biggest supporter. I’m starting a non-profit in honor of my son as his legacy will live on. It’s for young men between the ages of 13-18 that need mentorship which is so important.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road definitely hasn’t been easy. It took a lot of discipline, long hours, faith and prayer. As I was building my business, I received a lot of rejection, but I didn’t let that stop me as I was determined to break generational curses.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My business is a credit restoration franchise that I started over two years ago. I help consumers gain and leverage excellent credit as well I offer income opportunities which is my specialty. What set’s me apart from others are the services that we offer, along with credit restoration. We offer a full protection plan that helps you get out of debt in order to get your finances in order. I am proud of what I do as these services has helped so many single mothers purchase new home, pay off bills, purchase new cars, put money up for their children’s future etc. We also are very much involved with the education system. Each year we give away money for college scholarships and we also go into the schools and teach financially literacy grades 5th-9th.

How do you define success?
Success to me is not how much income you’ve made, but it’s the lives you’ve changed. It’s all about servitude.
