Meet Tasha Jones of This Word’s For You

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Jones.

Hi Tasha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Well, honestly this has been in me all my life, but I just never recognized it as my God-given gift. My family and friends would always say how much I encourage them and inspire them. Hey, I thought I was just being a good friend, and that’s what everyone did. It’s funny because when I told my friends this was what I was going to do they said, “We knew it all along!” Early 2019 God gave me the name “This Word’s For You.” God said This Word’s For You will be for every man, woman, boy and girl, but in this season I will use you to bring women together by encouraging, motivating, empowering and inspiring them. By the end of 2019, I was officially the founder of This Words For You LLC. January 2020 I began sharing content that God had given me on social media platforms. Creating inspiration and motivation daily, but God was saying I see what you’re doing, but you still haven’t done what I showed you. I knew exactly what he was talking about, but I was so afraid! God had shown me at a very young age visions of myself being on stage speaking. I had allowed myself to be arrested by fear. I asked God, are you sure you want me to do this? Is now the right time? Will people receive me? All these questions. Now fast forward to the pandemic in 2020. That just did it! I’m thinking how in the world am I going to do this, but I continued to be consistent with sharing my daily inspiration. All the while God is still speaking to me about doing more and now showing me more visions of what it is he would have me to do.

In comes 2021… toward the end of the year, I started seeing ads for a Women’s Conference in November. God said, “You have to be there.” I tried to make plans to go with a couple of friends, but things just weren’t coming together. All the while I could still hear God’s voice. I told my husband “Honey, I have to attend this conference even if I have to go alone.” God told me I had to be there. He said, “I’ll go with you and just work from the hotel.” My husband and I flew to Dallas for the conference. The conference was an experience I will never forget! God truly poured out his spirit. It was in that moment that I let go of fear, doubt and all uncertainty! I was ready to go forth however God wanted me too! The last day of the conference God told me when I return to Atlanta to secure my venue and I would have my very first women’s event in 2022. We got back on November 7th, it was a Sunday. That week I found a venue, did the walk-through, paid the deposit and signed the contract… November 15th! It was official, the date was set, March 19, 2022. I literally stood at the back of the venue and said “Ok God.” From that day he just began to download in my spirit exactly what he wanted me to say to the women and who needed to be apart from beginning to end. He was leading and guiding me the whole way through. The rest is history. All God wanted was my yes!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Every day is not easy, but I have to do it. I love God and I love his people. I cannot and will not stop. Somedays I don’t feel like it. Hey, we all have those days, but it’s not about how I feel. Someone’s breakthrough could very well be depending on my obedience.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an inspiration/motivational speaker. “This Word’s For You” is HERE for you! My goal is to reach women of all walks of life through love and the word of God. I specialize in speaking at events, one-on-one talk time sessions and One-on-One prayer sessions. I love people and encourage them to be their true authentic self. Loving them with the love of God and that’s what I believe causes them to be drawn to me and my ministry. I’m extremely proud of what God is doing in this season. It brings me joy knowing that hearts are being touched and lives are being changed. Let’s stay connected.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
This has just been a reminder to continue to be safe at all times. To be mindful not only for my own safety but for the safety and well-being of others as well.
