

Today we’d like to introduce you to C. DeVone.
Crystal DeVone aka C. DeVone is a multimedia professional, DJ, and Mental Health Advocate. She specializes in events, wellness, music, marketing, and audio production. Her passion for events, creative campaigns and integrated strategies drive new customer acquisition, increase brand awareness and improve profitability.
New to Atlanta, this New York native has been linked to Revolt TV, Curlfest, Afropunk, Google, YouTube, WeTV, Bravo, L’Oreal, and Louis Vuitton, to name a few. C. DeVone’s clear devotion to creativity and desire to constantly learn has garnered the attention of industry heavyweights.
Her love for music and audio stemmed at a young age in the South Bronx and heightened when she was accepted to the High School of Music & Art (Fiorello H. LaGuardia HS). She then headed off to Washington, DC to attend Howard University, where she earned a degree in Radio, TV, and Film. Crystal is driven by creating impactful multimedia content in the digital hemisphere in the world of podcasts, social media, TV, and branding.
During the quarantine, DeVone battled with depression and personal loss. She moved to Atlanta and restructured her career goal to focus on podcast production, which led her to produce major projects to creatively amplify black voices, wellness, culture, and women’s rights. Her podcast credits include Music, Men & My Mental Podcast, Versed: The ASCAP Podcast, Refinery29 – Go Off Sis Podcast (Vice Media), Positively Gam (hosted by Red Table Talk’s own Gammy, AKA Adrienne Banfield) and Pretty Big Deal with Supermodel Ashley Graham (Westbrook).
Today, she resides in the Buckhead area of Atlanta as an international DJ, advocating for mental health in communities of color, and leads a full-service podcast production company.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a woman in the male-dominated industry of Djaying and audio production.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a DJ and Podcast Producer – my goal is to shift moods, stories, and narratives and provide audible nutrients. Being a DJ, I have had opportunities to spin at amazing events and within unique spaces. As a Podcast Producer, the most important thing that I can do within my craft is touch someone by either making them feel, move or spark an emotion by music or storytelling. What sets me apart is this is not only my passion, it is my purpose!
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
“I strive to be the Sylvia Rhone of Podcasts.” My future goals are to build an empire of various podcast and audio production. Podcasts are the future! It will continue to grow and I am excited to be in the earlier stages of the technology and creative process.
