Please tell us about your art.
I’m a Hip-hop Lyricist bringing back the meaning and message that music once had but being sure not to miss the vibe. I’m heavily inspired by so many that came before me Lauryn Hill, E.badu, Missy Elliot, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Biggie, Pac, Whitney Houston, Micheal Jackson, Old Kanye, Outkast, The dungeon family, Dick Greggory and so many others, I hope after listening to my music people feel a sense of hope, determination, confidence and most importantly self LOVE. It’s time to bring back the core principles that real music was based upon my art is truly a breath of fresh air.
Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
If I could turn back the hands of time, I would’ve been more assertive when it came to my career and what I expected out of the people I worked with. Different times of my life. I was hesitant and timid a lot of times when it came to the “business” which in turn caused a lot of people to walk all over me or disappoint me in different ways. I experienced a lot of heartaches and setbacks, No matter what your passion is never be afraid to speak and voice whatever it is you want pertaining to your career. Practice makes perfect so work on your craft day in and day out to become the absolute BEST at what you do. Consistency is key so stay active however remember to never over saturate in whatever community or market you’re in exclusivity gives the people a chance to miss you and yearn for your creativity even more. Stay true to who you are be sure to keep God first, remain HUMBLE and always GETIN2IT!!!!!!
