Meet Eazy Comedy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eazy Comedy.

Eazy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started doing video sketches with my camera I got in the 10th grade from my Dad for Christmas and I’ve continued to make sketches since. I began shooting sketches with my sister Erica “@enicole” and my youngest sister Erin “@queenerin, then I went on to making YouTube videos. I stopped for a while, I continued back on Instagram once it was allowed for Android users to make videos. I got my first big break on ”Ratchet People Meet”, then the sharing and going viral went on from there to Baller Alert  and different celebs, my top celeb following me now is Rihanna. The person that influenced me to do comedy first was my Dad. He was funny and still would get on me if I messed up, and I would create my own funny way of him disciplining me after I got my ass whooped. He would also go on to show me comedians such as Bernie Mac, Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx, who are all my favorite, and made me want to become a comedian & also Dave Chappelle.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has been fun and challenging because a huge part of my sketch routine stopped. My sister Erica and I began doing relationship sketches at first because no other female took me serious until they saw our success. It came a time when I wanted to take my sketches to another level and my challenge for myself, knowing that was my sister lol so we put a pause to it. But, I have a new girl I’m shooting with soon to get back on it and back to some of my classics. It was difficult for a minute drawing up different comedy series to try to keep the copy cats away from your style. I look forward and ready to bring out the new and classics on a better level. It’s difficult juggling different fields of comedy if that’s what you want to do. For me I’m a stand up comic, actor, social media content creator, director, writer, and etc. Within comedy and my mind, I want to do everything all at once. I train myself to do one project at a time. My obstacle I continue to overcome is becoming yourself, on stage it is difficult but becomes easy once you do and fun. Consistency and originality is a lesson I would want to teach and learn from others as I go and failing, you can’t be afraid to do that in this profession. If you’re not afraid you’ll be amazing if you’re funny lol.

Please tell us about Eazy Comedy.
My real name is, Everett Dukes III, But my entertainment name is “Eazy Comedy” & company name is Eazy Comedy Productions. I am a writer, stand up comedian, & an actor. I’m a content creator and specialized in comedy. I’m known on the internet and social media platforms for creating really funny comedy series and the list for that consist of my relationship sketches, gay gps, ayyee wassup dis tron, pop a lop, and my radio sketches. What I’m mostly proud of is the joy I give to people all over the world that I help with my content,  and also when I’m out in public, and they recognize me and tell me how much of a fan they are and that my content really helps them to get through really tough times in their lives. What sets me apart from others is that I’m very original and try to stay that way and just come up with comedy series that people can grow with, and laugh at the same time and that’s what makes people really remember you and grow with you.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Performing in front of my family in Birmingham Alabama and making my dad and family a fan of my stand up comedy, because he doesn’t laugh at everybody and everything. Even if it’s his son telling the jokes lol, he’ll still be honest and say “naw that ain’t it”. He told me he enjoyed the whole thing. My first college show was dope to see the love, and had fun with the youth and just people recognizing me and showing real love. Also to see people on social media who hit me every day to let me know my comedy helps them in ways I couldn’t imagine, and that makes it worthwhile to me right there just helping people lives with my comedy. My advice is, don’t care about what they think and be yourself, the right people will appreciate that from you and you’ll become the person you need to be faster but you’ll get there, it’ll be alright lol. I’ve grown into a more mature and understanding person and aware of a lot more now.
