Meet Anjelica Partridge of Anjelica Dezel in Sandy Springs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anjelica Partridge.

Anjelica, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a web designer and brand strategist originally from Chattanooga, TN. I am a UGA Grad from the Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication — Broadcast News ’09. I also played Volleyball at UGA from ’05-’09.

My background is local television producing, but after I transitioned to working in Public Relations at UCF College of Medicine in Orlando, I began taking on small design projects at work, mostly social media graphics. Because I worked at a university, I began to dabble in continuing education classes for Photoshop and Coding.

The first time I made $200 doing a website for a college friend, I fell in love with it and decided to start a web design business as a side hustle. Within six months, I was making more than my 9-5 salary. I took the leap from my job about two months later. There was a bit of urgency because my apartment lease was ending soon, and I knew I wanted to leave Orlando and move back to The South.

Having those little deadlines definitely, help create urgency when it comes to achieving your dreams. Almost every time I’ve “leveled up” in business, it was to accommodate a newer, bigger dream on a deadline. The latest was moving to Atlanta last fall. My living expenses nearly tripled moving to the “big city” so I started molding my business to offer more elite services. Packaging my web design with coaching, and copywriting services to offer a more high-end service to attract high-end clients. My “Bankable Brilliance Experience” has become my signature service, designed for elite clients that want the web design, three months of coaching to execute their vision, and the copywriting done for them by a professional writer. It has allowed me to take my services to the next level and really be seen as a luxe designer in my niche.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I really have been blessed for most of my journey, as a Christian, I feel like I have trusted God and taken a lot of leaps, and He has always been there to catch me.

Early on, though, I did have a hard time breaking through the next level from “just making it” to financial security. Because I was able to leave my 9-5 so quickly, I thought things would just continue to grow in an upward fashion.

When things plateaued for about six months, I was really wondering if my early success was a fluke. My business coach, Fabiola Giordani was really good for me at that time, helping me truly map out a profit plan. Determining how much money I wanted to make monthly, and how many services/ products I had to sell to get there.

Working in reverse order really helped make my goals seem more attainable, and plan towards those goals.

Please tell us about Anjelica Dezel LLC.
I am a web designer and luxe brand strategist. I largely work with fabulous female entrepreneurs. Mostly business, health and finance coaches or consultants. I also work with some fitness and beauty experts like Natural Hair Guru, Felicia Leatherwood.

Clients typically seek me out when they want their online presence to match the expertise and quality they bring to the table. I create unique, luxurious designs that help establish them as an authority in their field. I go above and beyond to craft a compelling visual brand story and make sure those visuals are consistent on all platforms. Not just the website, but in their social media, their emails and even offline with their print collateral.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood was being a debutante every three years, with my family’s sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha. The Fashionetta Debutante Ball in Chattanooga is a big fancy shindig that happens around Christmas time every three years, so when I was 8, 11, 14 and 17. We’d rehearse a big ballroom dance, and then perform it in front of a huge audience of family and friends. I loved getting all dressed up, having my hair done, and dancing the night away with family, right before Christmas.

In my senior year, I won the “Miss Congeniality” honor, voted on by my fellow debutantes– which really put a cherry on top of my last debutante ball!
