Meet Michele Mabie of Everything Lovely Photography in Peachtree City Georgia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michele Mabie.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have always been the creative type, but not until I picked up a film camera long ago did I know this would be my happy place. And so it began, taking pictures of everything and everyone I could. After much practice on family and friends, I began my business in wedding photography but soon wanted to try some different things. I had an idea and a model call of girls ages 5-12 that I would style and do a 30-minute session. The response was 24 girls answered, I just could not choose one, so I just photographed all of them, it took me one month. And from there I fell in love even more with styling my clients, from big fancy dresses to edgy looks and of course portrait work. But more than that, the look on my clients face…that says wow, thats me!

So today, my primary business is portraiture work. I collaborate at times with designers and stylist. I style each session with dresses, outfits, big head floral headpieces, and accessories, etc. depending on what we are wanting to achieve for that session. I enjoy working with children/tween/teens and seeing the imagination of each one come alive, but also women’s contemporary portraits/lifestyle that allows them to see just how beautiful they are. I want to Create more than just a photograph but create an experience.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Everything has its struggles. All, especially small business owners, need passion for their work. When you have passion for your work, it does not seem as much like work. Passion fuels and inspires me it drives me toward my goals, no matter how difficult, how many times I fail or what obstacles might be ahead. I am constantly refining and defining my gift, Always learning and pushing to be better, to execute the vision I have in my head through photography. So at times, it’s frustrating, it can be expensive, but passion for the art keeps pushing me.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Everything Lovely Photography – what should we know?
I am a children’s and lifestyle photographer. I create lifestyle sessions for book authors, creating images for book covers, for business owners for their social media, blogs, websites, etc. but we also style and photograph children’s/tween/teens portraiture and contemporary women’s portraiture. I work with designers and stylist and I keep a lot of styles in studio to style my clients. Our attention to detail sets us up for images that will last a lifetime and an experience our clients will not forget. I am always fun and an honored that we have had our images featured on book covers and in magazines.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My family and friends have always supported my crazy ideas. Building sets, helping with sessions when there are horses or animals involved, flipping the long train of a dress. Lol, I have certain photographers that have definitely played a part in my growth and still do…I learn all the time… continually growing to the next level.
