Today we’d like to introduce you to Faith Holt.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
For me, I feel as if my story started the moment I took my first, fresh breath of air. Music has consumed me for the moment I was born. I feel as if I’m not so much turning into the artist I want to be, but more so I was born for this. I was born the artist I’m supposed to be, and am. I always had the ability to sing, but never had the courage to embrace that, and share it with the world. I didn’t recognize the power and the beauty in the thing I was hiding from the world. The moment I filmed my first video of myself singing, and uploaded onto social media, the instant love, support and feedback I was getting was life-changing. From that moment on, I chose to dedicate every day of the rest of my life to music. After spending so much time embracing my solitude, I came to many realizations, one including music as being my purpose in this lifetime, and when I sing, I feel like it’s specifically what I’m supposed to be doing with my time, and life. A few months after showing my following on social media about my ability to sing, I started writing. I then went to the studio and recorded my first song ‘Like you need it” which is now out on every platform. I feel so connected with music, and I can’t wait to embrace that and share the beauty of it all with the world. Music is such a beautiful, powerful thing and I’m here to show not an only female artist, but every aspiring artist that we can truly achieve anything we set our minds to. This is only the beginning for me, and I know I have the power to change many lives through music. I truly believe in myself and that all I really need to be successful. At the end of the day, if it was just me and music, I know I’d be okay. There is something about the way I feel every time I write, and sing, that reassures me every time, that this is my purpose in life, and I’m built for this. Music can swallow me whole, and I will continue to chase my dream, and my passion for the rest of my life. This is just the beginning for me!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s definitely not easy living this life. Life itself is so beautiful and there are so many amazing things to embrace, but I feel like it is also important to embrace the bumps in the road and the tribulations that we all face. It gives people something to relate to. Whatever happens in our life doesn’t happen TO us, it happens FOR us. TO build, shape and create our character. We never get faced with things we can’t handle. We are ALL strong and powerful and can overcome anything we believe we can. As this is just the beginning of my lifelong journey in music, I am prepared and willing to face any obstacle that crosses my path, as I know to keep my eyes on the bigger picture and know better days will come. That I’m built for this, and mentally invisible. I’ve gone through many battles in my life so far, and I embrace them and celebrate now, looking back on my growth and how I overcame them, including depression, and an ED. I believe as a woman now in music, being in the public eye of, I believe millions one day, I can show other women that they can overcome their battles and struggles as well! To focus on how it will shape them, build them and make them stronger. To use them as stepping stones to their path to victory rather than using them as a weight on their shoulders, holding them back from putting that next stone down, and walking their path of life proudly. Not only do I want to give advice to other young women but also be transparent about my battles and take my own advice, as well as taking the advice of the other influential women in the industry, as I am still learning and growing myself! I want people to leave my shows one day feeling like they can do ANYTHING. It’s important for me to know the impact of my lyrics and music, I am filling not only young women but everyone’s thoughts and mind with. I want to make sure I’m speaking on things that actually matter, and can lift peoples spirits with positive energy. The battle of life is what makes it unique for us all, as there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and all of our stories are different, but can all be victory stories at the end of the day. We’re all in this school of life together and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for me specifically!
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
Currently, I am a Singer/Songwriter but eventually, I will be a singer/songwriter/engineer/and producer!! The opportunity to share my gifts with the world I believe one day, is very significant and powerful to me!
Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
Yes! specifically. I believe every little detail, an event that takes place not only in my life but in every life, happens for a reason and on purpose. Every little thing is aligned and we are in perfect harmony with the universe. I feel like for me, I was born for music. I grew up singing EVERYTHING. singing at school, singing at home, singing for my close friends, little talent shows, and my grandmother’s funeral. I always would watch American Idol as a kid and imagine myself in the same position. My dad always told me as a little girl I would be a superstar one day. That he could imagine me on the stage in front of thousands, singing. Music has always consumed me, but I lost that fire for music during my early teen years. I was looking for my purpose in other things, such as modeling, but nothing ever felt right. Nothing felt like home. The moment I stepped into the studio for the first time and started singing, it clicked. It felt like home. As if I could do it every day for the rest of my life and be happy. It’s like I got a flashback of my entire childhood growing up consumed with music and saw the face of the 9-year-old girl, aspiring to be an incredible artist one day. I moved around my entire life and went to public school until 5th grade! I went to a new school every year until 3rd grade! I was always the new girl, and if I wanted to have friends, I had to step out of my comfort zone and make them! By the age of six, I could carry on a conversation with anyone, and probably got along better with adults, and my parent’s friends, more than other kids my age! I was shaped as a young child to be social, and was completely a social butterfly! I wanted to be friends with everyone! I feel as though this shaped me to the person I am now, to be able to engage in conversation with almost anyone, and one day to be in the public eye of millions! I learned at a very young age not to let negative comments, and thoughts affect me, as it’s important to know not everyone will love you, no matter who you are! This will be a very important thing to keep in mind while in the public eye! Everything happens for a reason and I know every little detail of my childhood and everything leading up to this current event is happening in beautiful, divine, specific timing. Everything works together for the next to happen, and I cannot wait to share the stories leading up to my success in music!
