We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road. There were obstacles along the way. For example, my Biochemistry teacher told me because I didn’t have an “A” in biochemistry Lab no medical school would accept me and that I should “seriously consider being a Biology teacher.” That was fuel to my fire. I was determined to show him that I could and I would get into medical school.
