Today we’d like to introduce you to Bobby Bands.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Back in 2009, I had the vision to create my own clothing line. I have always been intrigued by the term “CEO” and wanted to incorporate that into the name of the clothing line. In the middle of the night, it came to me. I sat up from my sleep and said “Consistency, Effort, Opportunity.” I immediately reached for my pen and pad on my nightstand and wrote that down. Fast-forward to 2019, Certified CEO Clothing has been making a statement and has grown very rapidly.

Certified CEO Clothing is designed to be inclusive for all races, nationalities, and beliefs. Be on the lookout for joggers, yoga pants, hats, etc. in the future. You are never too late to start building your empire. I have always felt I was placed here on this earth to be a leader, or should I say CEO. It is so important for you to leave a legacy behind for your children and your children’s children. Certified CEO Clothing also empowers the next generation of movers and shakers to position themselves for greatness in whatever they desire.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road has not been a smooth one. Instead of focusing on my dream and putting in the work initially to be successful, I got lost in the shuffle in Corporate America. After realizing the blood, sweat & tears you spend growing a corporation, can be easily forgotten in the blink of an eye. For this, I am so grateful because it strengthened the entrepreneurial spirit inside of me and makes me so focused today. Never forget your dreams just to help someone else build theirs.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Certified CEO Clothing/Certified CEO Records story. Tell us more about it.
Certified CEO Clothing is a brand that is designed for the corporate business owner all the way to the everyday hustler who works a 9-5 with CEO dreams. The thing that sets this brand apart from anyone else is that the use of “CEO” in my brand is completely different from anyone else who has CEO in their name. This definition stands for Consistency, Effort & Opportunity. When you Consistently put for the desired Effort, that will yield Opportunity. For all who believes in these, you will be successful. One of the things I am most proud of with this company is that a major educational institution, Paine College, believed in what Certified CEO Clothing stands for and openly welcomed the brand to be featured in their bookstore. I am so grateful for them believing in the vision.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Within the next 5-10 years, Certified CEO Clothing is projected to be within the bookstore of 20 Universities or Colleges all over the country. The clothing line will generate enough income to be my sole source of income as well. There will be many moves in place to partner and expand globally. Certified CEO Records will be label known worldwide and have relationships with at least five major music distributors. The featured artist on the label, Brody Hammonds, will have over 1 million streams and recognized nationally.
