Meet Chantelle Munroe of Veg.dible in Marietta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chantelle Munroe.

Chantelle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My business journey started when I was only 19 years old. I knew from an early age that I wanted to be in business for myself and create the life I wanted to live. It started with me just wanting to prove to people that I was more than the young lady who was expelled from high school in my junior year, the young lady who was the target of bullying in school, the young lady who was arrested, jailed, written-off, and labeled as a “bad kid” that had nothing going for her and wouldn’t be anything in life. In the beginning, I wanted to prove who I really was, but as years went on, I just wanted to BE who I really was without worrying or caring what others thought of me or believed about me. My vegan journey started in 2014 when I was pregnant with my son. It was a life-changing transition that I wanted to be my best self for so I started watching, and caring about what I put into my body AND mind. Truthfully, going vegan was purely for mental and physical wellness in order to perform and live at my optimum performance level. Throughout the years, I have definitely faltered, wavered, and allowed fear to stop me from taking risks and staying true to my vision but I can confidently say, I got to where I am today because I refuse to give up. No matter how many times I’ve allowed fear to stop me, or how many times I’ve stumbled on my journey, I’m where I am today because I refuse to give up.

Has it been a smooth road?
This journey has definitely not been smooth. Entrepreneurship never is. I’ve struggled with branding, finding my target audience, promoting myself and my business in a way to generate sales and so much more. Even with staying consistently vegan, I’ve definitely struggled as a mother of 2 toddler boys who is constantly on the move and constantly working and handling life. It’s not easy but remembering my “why” and remembering where I want to see myself in the next 5-10-20 years, keeps me pushing through these struggles.

I provide plant-based meals for health conscious individuals who don’t have the time, or the access to healthy, affordable, meals so they can enjoy being vegan on the go through my meal prep, catering, and private chef company, Veg.dible, LLC. Veg.dible is truly a leader in this industry in the metro-Atlanta area, specifically in Marietta, GA where I am based simply because there aren’t other companies providing this service. Veg.dible is set apart from others because it’s 100% plant-based. When you order from or use Veg.dible services, there is no doubt that the food you are consuming is truly vegan. Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love being based in Marietta, GA. This city is filled with so many diverse people and its only minutes away from Downtown Atlanta so it’s extremely easy to get to fast-paced city life while enjoying the quiet, suburb life. I would LOVE if Marietta and surrounding cities offered more vegan restaurants though!
