Meet Ambria Spencer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ambria Spencer.

Ambria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was a former Queen at a prestigious HBCU. My time elected as Queen was a unique and unusual experience. As Queen, I faced many obstacles, one being, I was elected not chosen. In the Bible, Romans 8:28, it says “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to his purpose.” I believe that the struggle I went through in that particular season of my life led me to an opportunity of a lifetime.

Has it been a smooth road?
Of course, there have been struggles along the way. From the questioning of my integrity , to the financial challenges, and last but not least to overcoming the opinions of people’s perception of me.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am an executive producer of a pilot, inspiring actress, entrepreneur, and writer. I am most proud of my recent achievement of running a successful seed & spark campaign, where it helped me develop the pilot, “The Royal Court.” I also just finished my first book that will be coming out soon. So stay tuned!

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Hopefully the entertainment industry will open the doors wide open to more ethnic stories . For it is by these stories that our country have been created, established and have survived. Stories like mine, for and example that’s true and holds fast to our historic culture.
