Meet Waltierra Jordan of Exclusive Highlightz in Fulton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Waltierra Jordan.

Waltierra, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always had a love for photography and editing. I just didn’t take it serious until about a year ago. I pretty much started out working with kids at a young age, all while going to school. My family are BIG basketball fanatics and my little cousin plays AAU Basketball year round. I was always at his games and recording on my phone.

So I decided to put videos together and make highlight tapes. I just up and decided to quit my job one day and work for myself. BEST decision ever, might I say. I told him how I wanted to get exposure and make other sport highlights as well. That’s when I decided to create a separate Instagram account @exclusivehighlightz for numerous mixtapes. Ever since people have been reaching out for me to come to games and record/take photos of them. My follower count has progressed over the few months and I’m so grateful for it. I then made another Instagram account @exclusivememories for my Photography side of things. Things are looking up for me, and one day I hope to work for Overtime or any known Sports Network.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Lately, it’s been smooth. When I first started out things were moving slowly.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Exclusive Highlightz – what should we know?
My business is called ExclusiveHighlightz. I’m a Freelancer who film sports, events, promos, etc. & take photos as well. I am most proud of the growth, it’s only been a few months but I’m making wonderful progress. What sets me apart is my attention to detail.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I would give credit to my business teachers who’s courses I took throughout middle-high school. I didn’t have a choice, I was put in those courses just because. And honestly, I benefited from it because I still remember everything I’ve ever learned. Reasons I’m so comfortable with computers, technology and what not.
