Today we’d like to introduce you to Leah Monet.
So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
When I was nine years old, I use to watch “America’s Next Top Model” religiously. Because of that, I grew in interest in modeling. I started to do model training and attended many events. I eventually became interested in acting as well. I started off taking acting classes and doing several student short films and many other projects to build my resume.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The entertainment industry is definitely tough. It comes with a lot of rejection, which is hard for anyone to deal with. But the positive results outweigh the tough times and makes it all worth it.
Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I’m an actress, model, singer, songwriter, and musician. I’ve been blessed to have opportunities to be in several amazing projects, which include “Greenleaf”, “Being Mary Jane”, “The Quad”, “Black Lightning”, and most recently “The Bobby Debarge Story”.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I think one of my most favorite moments in my career was singing the National Anthem at the Hawks game a few years back. It was the largest crowd I’ve ever sung in front of and was a great experience.
