Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikkie Pryce.
So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
After college, I started my career initially working for ABC News in Tallahassee. I thought I wanted to be a writer and news reporter. That was the vision I designed for myself. I now know that vision came for me when my pain turned into purpose. You see, sometimes we focus on the seed and not the success. Pain for me looked liked losing my Mother to cancer two years ago, and at the top of 2019, losing my Aunt to cancer. This made me feel totally disconnected from myself and the world. I felt like loss was my portion and that everyone I loved would eventually leave. I had to sit with that thought and realize that those feelings weren’t true. Not only do I have one angel but I have two who are by my side. This perspective has helped me heal and also know that moments like these are fueling us to go to the next level. If we can only make our life’s challenges as a tunnel to take us to our next blessing, we can create the most blessed life we’ve ever experienced. We get to create that and find significance in all that we go through. My story is one of triumph, love, connection, commitment, and drive. I find that I can create what I want to be in my life, my community, my team, and the world. It’s a blessing to be able to create this, all the while using our pain to create our purpose.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Absolutely not. It’s been the most stretching, challenging, heart-wrenching journey to date however, it’s taught me who I really am in this world. It has shown me how strong and amazing I am and all that I can be to others. So, as a leader, I’ll go through the fire first, if it means someone will see their worth or know that they matter. No one has promised that life will be easy, however, it’s worth it and it means a lot to go out there and do your best and really surrender and commit to the process. When I gave Christ a real yes, He cultivated me as a leader to be able to see myself succeed and be a beacon of light in the darkness.
I AM Community – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My company I AM Community helps empower dreamers through self-love, self-awareness and I AM affirmations. We teach people to practice positive thinking and positive self- talk. Research shows that we think a total of 80,000 thoughts a day and 80% of our thoughts are negative. 90% are repetitive from the day before. Imagine if we can include affirmations into our lives on a daily, the impact we can make within ourselves and the world.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me is how many lives we can impact and change. People should never leave your life the same. Success is leaving your imprint on the earth. Changing lives for the better. Showing others that their light can brighten a very dark place. Most people are looking for answers. Success allows you to create the answer for yourself and for others. Scripture tells us that there’s power in success and God gives it to us freely. Deut.8:18
It can be done if you simply believe in yourself and in God, and you set an intention to be great and watch it unfold.
