Meet Crystal Bennett of CLD Event Staffing & Productions in Gwinnett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Bennett.

Crystal, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m also known as Cee Cee to the industry. My business started in April after my brother Cliff Lewis Dixon was killed in Atlanta. We both worked in the same industry but two different styles of work. I had been doing stage work for years while Cliff performed on them. When Cliff passed away I thought what better way to continue what I enjoy and continue his name. That’s how CLD Event Staffing & Production was developed. I am not where I wanna be as of yet but I continue to push through to get there.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing in this game is a smooth road. Every road has bumps, rocks, and pebbles, ect from which someone else has left. You just have to find your own way of getting through it. You could read an entire book on how to get rich and be successful, that doesn’t mean what you read will be the same way you read it. Building up clients is a struggle in a city where people have their go-to people. Also, a lot of things is word of mouth so without that most of the time that can make or break you.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about CLD Event Staffing & Productions – what should we know?
CLD Event Staffing & Production is an entertainment labor company. We assist crews coming in town for any tour big or small such as artist like Jay Z, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift. We set up lights, Audio, Video walls, Stages, Vip rooms, etc. we also do small conventions as well. I specialize in it all I am well rounded and could fit to accommodate with anything. My company employees are trained and professional, also my company has great communication. My attitude sets me apart just like the tour crew I just wanna make sure the job is done we have a great show and everyone goes home.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I don’t give up no matter what I try to figure it out. They say the only way to make money is to start your own business. Lol, I don’t have the knowledge to a lot I still fall but I don’t quit. I’ve been told no and what I can’t do but I keep it moving. Also having a Clothing line out has pushed me harder and to understand everyone ain’t for you.
