Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Frazier.
Brittany, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My hairstyling journey started in 2008-2009 my senior year in high school. I would ask my friends to be my test dummies and try different hairstyles on them. After I graduated, I went to Savannah Technical College where I studied to Cosmetology. School was so nerve-racking and exciting at the same time. I remember one of my first clients asked if I knew how to do a layered bob sewin. I had no clue on how to cut hair.
So I just faked it until I made it, surprisingly she LOVED her hair and until this day she is still one of my loyal clients. After finishing cosmetology school I was able to go to Macon, GA where I took my state board exam and passed! I was able to build my clientele through word of mouth, business cards and promoting myself on Facebook. I’ve worked in a few salons over the years but after having my son I knew I would eventually want to open my own salon. So in June of 2017, I was able to open up my first hair salon with the help of my dad! I recently celebrated two years of being in business. Becoming a salon owner is no easy job but it’s one of the best experiences I ever had.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have had a few bumps along the road. It was a moment in my life where business was so slow that I decided to get a job at a local beauty supply store. I lost faith in myself and my talent because no one was booking appointments or giving me a chance to prove myself. So after working there for only three weeks I quit! I said to myself I cant do this, I need to show people what I can do. I have to showcase my skills.

Gifted Hands Hair Salon and Boutique is a hair salon that is dedicated to providing the best hair care services by using the best products. We make sure our clients are catered to when being serviced. My salon offers a variety of services. We offer natural hair styling, color services, hair cutting services, eyelash extensions, hair extensions, and more. I specialize in hair extensions(Sewins And Quickweaves). We also sell virgin hair and mink eyelash extensions. I am most proud of being able to take a dream I had and making it a reality! My customer service sets me apart from others. In most salon you have slow stylist that take forever on one client. But not at my salon you’re guaranteed to get in and out.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Being humble has played a major part in my success! I always keep God first in any situation I’m in, I’m patient, I cheer others on when they have success, I’m always grateful and I’m never afraid to ask for help.
