Meet Lamar ‘Lundi’ Harvey of Lundizign in South Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lamar ‘Lundi’ Harvey.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Lamar. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
At an early age, I developed a passion for the arts and an affection for free-hand drawing. I used my favorite superheroes as my muse while utilizing my skill to sketch anything that captured my attention. Eventually, my affection and appreciation for the arts would also lead to a passion for music. I learned to read music and became fluent in such sounds as the trumpet, cornet, tuba, and various percussion instruments.

In high school, I became intrigued by computers, which lead to a curiosity about the technical and mechanical components of the machine. By this time, my cumulative passion, talents, and knowledge worked together to transition me into the digital age of sound design, digital and print media, and photography.

I went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree at the former Macon State College, most recently named Middle Georgia College to further refine my skill and talent. My concentration and emphasis were the New Media Track Program, which focused on the history of media, print, graphic design, film production, vector illustrations, and web development.

Presently, I am a freelance multi-media specialist with over 15 years of experience in the field of digital media. My photography clientele has grown to over 20 weddings annually with additional requests from many families, individuals, and promotional shoot bookings as well. Several clients also utilize my graphic design services that stem from my extensive background of experience. It allows me to offer multi-media full services packaging to leverage the business relationships of both local and regional vendors in building and developing their company brand.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
During my journey, there have been some growing pains. One of the biggest struggles I’ve faced is personal growth and development. I always strive to provide my clients with the best work that I can provide, so I’ve always pushed myself to offer a better product than the last one. Additionally, I’ve had to get better at the aspects of the business that aren’t as glorified. This has made me work harder to better my administrative and customer relations workflows. From a business perspective, I’ve come from a dirt road and worked my way to a gravel road, with my ultimate goal is making it to a paved road.

Lundizign is a multimedia business that provides over 15 years of experience in the field of digital services. Our extensive background of knowledge allows us to provide our clients with full-service packaging to aid in building and developing their company’s brand. As visual content creators, we understand that today’s society is driven beyond the written word. Lundizign provides an array of services ranging from digital and print media, photography, sound design, web design and development, and videography. Our goal is to provide the utmost customer satisfaction to our clients locally, regionally, and nationally.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I have always tried to live by dedication, determination, and discipline as my driving force. I am dedicated to giving the best product I can, determined to make a difference in my community, and disciplined to continue learning as much as I can to my art form.
