Today we’d like to introduce you to Lavinia (MrsVEE) Asante.
Lavinia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
This vision came to me while going through one of the toughest times in my life. I had lost someone who I was very close to, my father. I was a “Daddy’s Girl” so losing him made me inconsolable and I felt like I was breaking down. In that moment of grief, I asked God to keep me busy and it led me to my first opportunity in fashion retail when I then purchased all the merchandise from a shoe company that was closing and I began organizing and selling the merchandise that I purchased.
Within that year, I ended up having two surgeries on my wrist and during the recovery and even in my sleep
I would have dreams and visions leading me to help people build a successful shoe business for $100 to get started, not knowing that this sparked a blessing and building of a new purpose and venture for me. Within a year, I had more than just shoes, but wigs, clothing, jewelry, handbags, anything that pertained to fashion.
Asking God during this time to enlarge my territory, I was then able to get an office!
One day, I awakened my husband to explain to him a vision I had to start a fashion group to help teach
people how to make money even with no money and to help enhance those who were already in the fashion
business.
I started by building my packages and merchandise pricing points and consulting my Brand Manager
Amecha De’Sha (Brand Scientist Lab LLC) was a big help in the development of the group doing all of my Graphics, Web Design, Marketing and helping with organizing in the group. She also provides graphics and services in the group.
There are teaching units in the group for people that are just getting started. There is mentoring in the group while giving them access to wholesale products and teaching them how to make a 100%-300% Profit. My group has grown nationally and internationally, connecting people and building positive relationships while helping people start successful businesses to be able to make extra income and giving them to choose to move to my Next level group.
Where I have expanded to teaching them how to become US Vendors or Wholesalers cutting out the middle man and placing orders at their own warehouse straight from the factories and big suppliers and building their own inventory to sell to others.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At first, getting organized and understand how to make this work for me was a big challenge, because it became so much bigger than I even expected. Also making sure merchandise was of quality and getting great
pricing and making sure shipping is going out in a timely manner.
Lastly, I also had to make business hours for my groups so 300 plus people wouldn’t call me all hours of the night and I had an overwhelming amount of customers that I had to build a schedule so I can help everyone while giving after-hour time to my husband. 🙂
Vees Fashion Solutions – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business is Fashion Retail & Wholesale with Mentoring. I specialize in selling quality merchandise to individuals and businesses also teaching other people in the fashion industry how to take their business to another level. It doesn’t matter if they are just getting started or if they have been doing it for a while. I am also known for my fashion boxes in which I sell starter packages with merchandise for a new business to start selling immediately and new inventory for established businesses.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest times have been meeting people all over the world in the fashion business. Helping them go to new heights in their business and they are seeing sales being made in their business. When members in my group reach out to me and thank me because they felt like giving up at one point and I gave them hope to keep trying, keep pushing, keep putting God 1st in their business, keep speaking positive words daily over their-self and their business that makes me proud and it makes me continue to go harder in the fashion world because they believe in a stranger they have met online and in these days, it’s very hard to trust people you haven’t met face to face.
The very proudest of them all is I know my dad is so proud of me and smiling down on me because I have found something positive to do to keep me happy and didn’t let depression win instead, I’m helping people all over the world win and for that, I’m forever grateful and I give all the praises to GOD above.
