Meet Roxanne Rinallo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roxanne Rinallo.

Roxanne, before we jump into specific questions about the organization, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m fortunate enough to say my nonprofit and photography was something I stumbled into by chance. Naturally, I’m a giver and I find pure joy in helping others. Photography became my escape from life’s stress. But it became more than a hobby when I realized I could also help others find their joy.

Every snap is my way of reminding myself and others that the world is still a beautiful place, no matter how ugly it appears to the naked eye. Sometimes, we need to see it from a different angle and frame. So starting my own nonprofit and incorporating my photography made sense to me.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I had my up’s and downs in this process. I don’t really know how to put the words together. However, I’ll try my best…

I encountered so many obstacles while building my brand: Sleepless nights, self doubt, dead ends and vindictive people. However, I have learned that we must never give up or let the distractions that come our way blur our vision of our goals.

Do you have to apply a ton of elbow grease, dedication and hard work into this process? Heck yes! But just like most things in life, this journey has been filled with trials and errors. It’s like the old saying goes, “what doesn’t break you, makes you.”

Struggles are nothing more than a detour with the opportunity for us to learn & grow. Remember this, nothing in life that’s worth having is going to be a smooth road with easy transitions. If so, we would lose appreciation of what we built.

We’d love to hear more about the organization.
Since 2018, O.G. Inc. has filled the need for service and leadership in communities throughout Atlanta. In under a year, we have answered the call to help local leaders, schools and entire neighborhoods with successful fundraisers, recreational events and immediate needs, including food, clothing and transportation. As a founder of O.G. Inc, I use my photography as a gateway to connect local artists, entrepreneurs and brands with residents who need their attention and support. We look forward to providing wider range of opportunities and services as we continue to add dedicated volunteers and donors.

What were you like growing up?
Pain in the ass filled with imagination, curiosity, and ambition.
