Meet Dineesha Childress-Lipscomb of The Tax Fairy (Childress & Associates) in Huntsville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dineesha Childress-Lipscomb.

Dineesha, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
You can call me The Tax Fiary. Accounting is literally in my blood. I’ve been an accountant since I was ten years old. My father Ronald Childress started the family run financial services business in 1976, which lead me to where I am today. I have been very blessed to have a start in one of the first black-owned accounting firms in Huntsville, Alabama. I have to say my drive to succeed comes from my faith, family and friends. My husband James Lipscomb and our kids keep me going as they push me to greater every day.

Has it been a smooth road?
Accounting is not easy but I consider it a blessing to help families grow financially. I love the fact that I’m also blessed to work along side my parents Ronald and Sherry Childress. The only struggle in this business is the untimely death of my brother Ronald “Hershey” Childress Jr., who passed away as a result of a fatal car accident. Hershey was an integral part of our family business and with his passing there’s a void that can never be filled; however, his spirit still dwells among us and keeps me positive asI know he would be proud. Hershey’s death has made me realize that I need make memories and believe in the power of smiles, hugs, forgiveness, laughter and love.
