Meet Sonja Anthony of Soie Hair in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sonja Anthony.

Sonja, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started out working for many big-name companies that had packaged human hair as a model, so I learned a lot about hair working as a runway, sales and promotional model because we had to know about the brand. In 2016 and 2017, I was approached to start a hair business by a few people and I decided to get started in early 2017.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Well, no road is smooth! Lol. But I can say, it could’ve been worse. Luckily, I already had the knowledge, so the hard part was getting the business off the ground in an already saturated industry.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Soie Hair – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My company is Soie (swee) Hair LLC. Soie is French for “silk”. Silk feels great and is of high quality and my virgin hair reflects that, so it is the “silk” of hair! I only use top-grade virgin hair which is between 10A and 12A hair including raw hair and it lasts at least a couple of years. I’m proud of my emphasis on quality and customer service because that’s what sets Soie Hair apart from other companies.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My future plan is to expand, expand, expand! I want Soie Hair to be a household name. We are now located in Buckhead, a part of Atlanta, Ga and I chose that location because most of my clients reside there. I am very excited for the new venture and new things to come with this move.
