Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine and Richard Ramnarine.
So, before we jump into specific questions about your work, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
While dating, we always said we wanted to find a way to document our family memories so our children will have something to look back on as they grow. We decided to start a YouTube channel, a name it A Rich and Jazzy Life, which is a play on our names. On our channel, you can see us grow as parents, get married, and travel the world or simply just travel around Atlanta enjoying the sights and activities. We have two young daughters who we include in everything we do. We take our subscribers to many restaurants and on as many vacations we can take each year. Vlogging is not just a hobby for us, but it has become part of our lifestyle that we have become fully committed to. We emphasize on the fact that it’s important to live your life fully as Rich and Jazzy as you want to make it. It’s important to always capture your memories because tomorrow is not promised to any of us and at least we will have these precious memories to look back on.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. All of our fellow YouTubers know it is hard to be consistent with coming out with vlogs and new content while juggling having two toddlers and working full time. Of course, when you’re in the public eye you tend to be judged on anything you put out in the world as far your parenting. We both work full times jobs as a teacher and nurse, and one of us is always home with the girls. One of us is always home and while one of us is at work in which we switch schedules. So it’s harder get things done together. It’s the moments that we do have together that we appreciate.
Please tell us more about your work. What do you guys do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
A Rich and Jazzy life is social media influencers/travel agents. We specialize in positive family content and assisting in booking travel. We are proud about the most amazing memories we were able to capture as far as my engagement, my childbirths, buying our first home, and traveling the world. I believe our content on our channel sets us apart from others. Our vlogs are very entertaining from the first minute you start watching. We try to capture our audience’s attention also with the scenery and music throughout our vlogs! We also are very big on matching. We love to coordinate outfits everywhere we go!
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is moving to America. I was born in Trinidad and moving to NYC was something that I would only see on TV. Coming to America was a huge deal for my family and I remember being nervous but yet excited about being in a new country. I couldn’t wait to try NY pizza too.
