Meet Samia Burton of Sexual Essentials LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samia Burton.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Samia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have always been the friend that people come to about sex without it feeling sexual. I’ve been told that I have a way of discussing sexual things in a way that people don’t feel embarrassed or awkward. What I found over the years was that so many people were in love and in great relationships but they were cheating or ultimately unsatisfied sexually and that so many were settling in the sex department of relationships because they thought the was the norm. I found it so strangely odd that a woman could get pregnant without even having an orgasm. Ultimately, I wanted better relationships for everyone and more satisfying sexual experiences. I set out originally just starting an informative blog to write about certain taboo topics but then I found that people can always read about sex, but what they can’t find is hands on practice. It was then that I decided to formulate an unconventional style of sex education where I now provide hands on sex classes because in all honesty between parents, porn and movies no one is really teaching people how to have sex and that women don’t just moan and cum two minutes into touching her in real life. I just wanted to create a safe place for people to learn because sexual pleasure is important.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Business wise I would say it has been pretty smooth, but personally I think is where my difficulty came in. I mean I’m teaching women how to give oral sex and how to ride its sometimes nerve wrecking to get the stares that I receive when people ask what I do. Personally, it was a conversation in my past relationship about what this looks like and what they were okay with and what they weren’t. I was also working a full-time job and still breast feeding when I started in my purpose of Sexual Essentials. I was writing blogs and stories while the baby was sleep and working during the day. I juggled a lot of opinions of others and responsibility to be able to keep fulfilling my passion to educate. Business wise the difficulty is that this isn’t a paved path, you make it up as you go and create your own opportunities there is not set way to make this type of business flourish. IT’s about having ideas and figuring out how to make them happen from scratch.

Sexual Essentials LLC – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am an unconventional sexual educator. Sexual Essentials is an umbrella for multiple ways of teaching for me. I have an online adult toy store, I do webinars, bachelorette parties and have a strong social media presence. I specialize and am most known for my hands-on sex classes. For example, I teach a #MouthMasterclass that includes an actual dildo for each participant to take home and during class I teach everything that someone would need to know to be considered a ‘Mouth Master’. I also teach a #DickRiding101 class for the same purposes. These particular classes are women only for now to keep the space safe and for women to get comfortable asking the questions they truly want to know more about.

As far as products I am very well known for my pH balancer called Yoni Oil, women often struggle with their natural scent whether that be due to clothes, or what we eat or yeast infections but this oil has given thousands of women their confidence back. Sexual Essentials is literally a one stop shop for all things informative and fun about sex. Bachelorette parties are some of my favorite events because the Bride always gets to learn actual things to try and perfect before the big day adding even more surprise and sensualness to an already amazing occasion. My honesty and lack of filter is what sets me apart. My classes are so fun yet informative that people realize I am teaching without even being vulgar, my only purpose it to instill confidence and inform in a fun and comfortable way.

What were you like growing up?
I’m from St. Louis. Growing up I was still very outspoken, very independent and a hard worker. I can’t remember never having less than three jobs at a time. I always had some way of selling the things I was good at like waistbands or babysitting services. Having my own something has been instilled in me since I can remember. I didn’t have a lot of friends I had the same few friends that I still have today. I was a big reader and still am, vey social but still strong introvert presence in myself as well. I was the first in my house to attend college and I have not one regret in attending Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) it was the best decision I ever made.
