Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This journey has never been without obstacles and challenges, but they all have been worth it. When I received a patent on my Handbag on Wheels, I was told that it wasn’t possible to patent anything in the fashion industry. Despite being told this information, I applied anyway and received a patent from the US Patent Trade Office for 14 years on my designer handbag on wheels. During the time that I was designing my bag, I went through at least 7-10 different manufactures in the US and overseas and that process came with multiple challenges and thousands of dollars lost through trial and error. But that journey netted my profits in the USA and multiple countries such as Japan, the United Kingdom, Australia, Western Africa, and Canada to name a few.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
Currently, I am the president of Inspire Consulting & Management Group, where we specialize in offering personal and professional development training for small and large organizations. I named my company Inspires because it was important to me that when I show up to speak or train that I inspire someone to change or transform their life for the better. I’ve been called “Corporate’s Most Wanted” because of the many organizations that I have served over the years. It is my intention to help others maximize their human potential to be the best version of themselves.

What sets me apart from others is that I am truly walking in my purpose and when I deliver information, individuals find it easy to learn and apply what they have been taught because I am intentional during the delivery. When I begin my sessions, I share with my audience that my WHY is to inspire and provoke something within them in hopes that they will receive the answer to their WHY during our time together.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My desire to succeed is accompanied with hard work, not stopping when things get hard, having the will to find another way when the first attempt doesn’t work, and to always seek for what I don’t know yet. I believe one should never stop learning.
