Today we’d like to introduce you to Mildred LeJeune.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
The idea of starting the Millie’s Miracle clothing line began back in November of 2015. I consistently would write my thoughts down in a notebook, pray about it, and kept it to myself. It wasn’t until earlier this year that I found my misplaced notebook, from three years ago. After finding it only took a few minutes to be led by the spirit to launch this business of Millie’s Miracle clothing line. You are probably wondering why the name Millie’s Miracle? Well, it is named after me, and here is why…
Many people don’t know this, but I am a miracle baby. When my mom was pregnant with me, she was unaware that she was pregnant until a couple of months down the line due to being in a stressful marriage. Well, during my mother’s pregnancy, she found out that I was a breech baby. Meaning the only way that she could give birth to me was through a C- Section. During my mother’s labor process, she experienced a febrile seizure where both us could’ve died, but we SURVIVED. I am a survivor, and Millie’s Miracle clothing line was created for me to share my story and to share with any pregnant mother that is carrying with complications to never lost faith. Know that everything is possible as long as you have faith and believe that God can do it.
Has it been a smooth road?
When I first started Millie’s Miracles, it was hard to launch this line as a sixteen-year-old and still in high school taking college courses as a senior. I was involved in school and my home church. I play Basketball and Golf my senior year at Tucker High School (alma mater), along with being my Class Representative for my senior class and singing with Teen Contagious at my home church, The dReam Center Church of Atlanta under the leadership of Bishop William H. Murphy III. So trying to manage school and my line was a struggle. Finding a vendor in Atlanta isn’t hard, but it can be tricky if you are not careful. With that being said, I did launch my line original on October 21, 2019, but being that I was a struggle, I took a pause on my line and relaunched it on February 12, 2020. Ever since February, the business has been fantastic. I dropped my summer line with over ten new designs, which was the best thing I did for this line.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Millie’s Miracles Clothing Line story. Tell us more about the business.
Millie’s Miracles is a T-Shirt line. I specialize in T-Shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies, and the purpose of this line is to share my story on a hidden gem for the past seventeen years. Anything is possible is my mission of Millie’s Miracles. It’s a unique way to shed light on the glory of God. I wanted to minister to people all around the world through faith-based apparel. I am most proud of how far I’ve come with this since February, even with all the trials and tribulations I did not let it stop me and God’s work that was called on my life. What sets me apart from others is that there’s a sure thing you go through if it was not God or whatever you believe in you would be stuck. It’s not only a regular crew neck shirt but also a robust background and a valid statement with values. So Millie’s Miracles has a variety of shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies you can choose from to explain your story, and it’s unisex so everyone can wear it.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see Millie’s Miracles Clothing Line going global. This line has so much potential, and I am thrilled to see what is next. A significant shift for me is that my service will be provided in Kentucky this fall as I transition to Western Kentucky this fall for school. My fall collection will be a significant shift because of the content I am putting out for everyone. Millie’s Miracles will launch a line for kids and babies also very soon where it can be a family thing that everybody will be united as one to share their story.
